Did he go onto Ainsworth in the second quarter and shut him down as well?
Our defenders kept switching up but sure it was mostly Glesson and McGrath in the 1st half and I think McKenna was on him abit in the 2nd half

One of the more impressive things for mine, is how defensively minded he is without it impacting his offensive game. You can forgive a player in their first season to have some defensive lapses due to the TAC system these players play in, but he has done really well in the 2 games so far.

I watch him and am waiting for him to explode athletically. He gathers the ball and remains low when assessing his options and his first step in any direction is powerful. Right now he's mostly giving it out to team mates in a better position which is testament to his decision making, but I want to see that explosive step turn into 3 or 4 steps. He's like a ball of fast twitch muscles ready to unleash, I can't wait to see him really use that asset and blast into open space.

Agree, really don't think we will have to wait long to see this happen. Improved after his 1st game, gaining confidence....look out

The only one getting a laugh was Andy, good stuff haha. Heard he was on so switched from the cricket and I missed it and first thing I see is Barrett so yeah I couldn't switch back to the cricket quick enough haha

Number 1 draft pick is favourite for the rising star?? Colour me shocked
Considering the buzz around players like Sam Powell-Pepper etc, I'm a bit shocked. Also considering that Francis was the favourite a few months ago.

I know what you're saying but he's likely to play in what's perceived as an easier position than SPP who's looked v good but it's hard being a bash n crash inside mid as an 18-19yo and Francis while likely to be a phenomenal player in his own right seemingly is made of glass

IN!

Good luck young fella!
