So we assume he gets a job on Poppy or Rioli.

On one of those two in front of over 80k in your first game? Baptism of fire, I love it.
Rioli. Only player quick enough to go with him. I think Kelly's smarts might be the best match up for Puopolo

McGrath loves a challenge so id put him on Rioli, Rioli always finds a way to have an influence against us and id love nothing better than for McGrath to stop his influence completely and truly make a name for himself.

In actual fact Rioli did **** all against us up until 2015. Just that the past few years he's killed us.

Forgot 2014 where he won the game off his own boot?

If the game is close in the 4th quarter, better keep Rioli on a leash or he'll kick the winner/sealer.
Meant to say 14...

Can't wait to watch this kid play. We've had a reasonably good run with blooding youngsters early over the last few years ie Parish, Tippa, Heppell, Zerrett, Fantasia...
Lets hope this continues and he can earn the R1 rising star nom to kick off the year!

Anyone else liken McGrath's movement, low centre of gravity and ability to move through traffic to Gary Ablett Jnr? I am not saying he will ever reach those levels but at his height is Ablett the type he should be trying to emulate?

I know a bit of what you mean -- they're both strong through the hips -- but he actually reminds me a fair bit of Parish.

McGrath's more agile and better overhead, and Parish is a better kick, but they have a very similar way in contested situations to me.

he reminds me quite a bit of another pacy small EFC defender with a low centre of gravity. Hope it continues
