Asked this question back in March 2020…2 and a half years on and my original assessment was spot on. He is an honest battler, but he simply doesn’t have enough other physical traits to overcome his height and lack of speed. A literal Hrovat clone.

He has the work rate, desire, guts and seemingly the footy smarts.

Physically he's just not going to make it. Can't get seperation, he's ALWAYS getting tackled or buried when he has it and can't beat a man in any description. Can't kick over a jam tin either.

Agree KB and it really isn't about Jack but the clubs mindset. It once was about Jack, when pundits on here were liking what he was doing which fyi was never much.

There's no cheap shots.

If Thomas played this season with the same desire and guts, we'd be in a far better place as a side.

Breaking tackles will come with age, his lack of kicking penetration and outright fear of kicking for goal is concerning.
