Plus possible bonuses for Syd finishes, matches played, All Australian selection. And possible impact (I hope there would not be) on any future contract.I would assume he wouldn't be getting a match payment, sooo he is effectively losing some money anyway Suma, ya tool

Don't think anyone except rookie listed players get match payments these days.I would assume he wouldn't be getting a match payment, sooo he is effectively losing some money anyway Suma, ya tool

They do unfortunately.Would they be potting someone who decided to step away for mental health reasons? Probably not so why is this any different.
Crickey what a shit show. They do unfortunately.
Yeah but Neymar is a campaignerneymar gets paid millions and every year takes his sisters bday off to go party with her.
Agreed. And there’s also not many jobs in the world where you have a serious back injury and still put yourself into rigorous/dangerous work to try and help your employer have success. This ain’t a bloke that has ever “just phoned it in”. Deserves all the respect in the world. My take is you have no idea what's going on in Bens 4 walls.
It's completely uninformed opinion about contracts as well. Many contracts have clauses about non work related illness, but some people always take the view that a player is fully paid for time off.Crickey what a sh*t show.

Thinking about Cunners longevity as before this year I felt the end might come quickly. This was based on him missing a whole year with injury and the perception he might rather do other stuff.
But aside from his stellar form he also seems to be loving footy at the moment and as we surge up the ladder you would have to think that won’t change.
Josh Kennedy and Joel Selwood are both 3 years older than Cunners, have been battered just like him and are both averaging mid 20’s possessions and 5 clearances a game.
With Ben’s ability to go forward and hopefully a reduction in the weight he has to carry for the team, he could have another 4 or 5 seasons in him.
I wouldn’t say no though.
I wouldn’t say no though.
Trade pick 1 for himWorth a look?
I suggest a cold shower and add a spoon full of saltpeter to your morning mug of Milo.( sexist comment spoiler )
Getting a Fauziah Ibrahim thing watching her every weekend early doors.
Tbh I can’t really figure it out. The CBA absolutely specifies that everyone gets match payments. But I’ve also seen people refer to contracts that do or don't include them. At a rounded-up rate of $5k/game (rookie list and 1st year draftees are a bit less), match payments take up about $2.5M of the $13.27M TPP, leaving a bit over $11M for base salaries. Match payments to rookie listed players are outside the cap however, which provides a bit of wiggle room.Don't think anyone except rookie listed players get match payments these days.
Amarfio said on Thursday that the plan was to come back and play Carlton here next week. But (from other sources, not his interview) they’re prepared for the possibility it could be longer, depending what happens in the various states. So best case he misses just this week.So he's not playing for this week or the next 3 weeks?
