Brad said "a lesser man" would have said he couldn't play. Wonder if he meant anyone in particular?

Anyway, credit to LT for playing his part, up until last night, even limited by pain. We missed him around the talls.

No he didn't so stop looking for something that isn't there.

I still find it a bit selfish that player who has an injury of any description, especially in finals, and cut throat ones at that, thinks that their presence in the team ahead of someone else who is 100% fit is a better option.
I think you'll find that the match committee consults the medical team, as well as the players, before selecting the team.

I used to run a fair bit. Got plantar fasciitis. A year later and after massive periods of rest I still cannot run without significant pain the next day. How does LT get it right AND have a proper pre-season? Serious concern. With this issue and Wells I think the club already has its recruitment priorities laid out before it.

Thomas in for surgery tomorrow I've hearing, hope all goes well for him and you guys. Absolute Gun!

I presume they'll be severing it, ala Robert Harvey who did it himself by jumping off his kitchen table, which should begin the healing process. It's seriously one of the most painful injuries to deal with. Good luck with yours Dodecahedron. Mine took at least a year and three cortisone shots and coming back from it led to further complications in the form of stress related hotspot and a Lysfranc Dislocation. They are a nightmare to completely overcome and I trust Saunders and co will be all over best practice for LT's rehab.

I can't wait to see a fully fit and firing LT back to his best to complement a better tougher more driven side.

I had it a few years back.

Started when I jumped from playing domestic bball up to rep level.

Extra training load probably too much too soon.

Anyway I must not have had a severe case of it compared to others, as it was okay if i taped my foot to limit the stretching of the fascia.
It was very very painful after activity though but I found it was bearable once you warmed up and taped.

Lasted for about 2 years though. Then I developed shin splints. Then to finish me off I did my acl!

That was enough for me!

North Melbourne can confirm Lindsay Thomas has undergone surgery on his injured foot.

Thomas’ operation on his plantar fascia was successful and the 28-year-old is expected to undertake a full pre-season campaign.

Thomas played 21 games in 2015, kicked 34 goals and was a part of all three matches of the Roos’ finals campaign.

Shouldn't have played. Was unfit.

I'd be very prepared to move him on if he wants to go. Think can work well for both parties as despite his star ability we don't need him, but we desperately need more outside mid class and run.

So we have reliable sources saying he's going and reliable sources saying he's staying. We also had a reliable source say he was going in for surgery which proved true.

Let's ask Thats Wright

He's still fuming that it was foot surgery, rather than euthanasia.

Why cant we play him as the outside run?
