It was more the job he did on Cyril in the game we beat the Hawks at the G.
And the tackle on Farren Ray.
He did nothing after that.

The reigning Pac West Champions SoCal Coyotes 'threw another shrimp on the barbie' today by signing superstar 6-0, 190-pound Gavin Urquhart, the best punting and kicker prospect in Australian Rules Football and a student at ProKick Australia.

Urquhart has been a professional player for the Melbourne Kangaroos for the past six years.

"He has decided to leave the game to pursue a career in American football," said his coach Nathan Chapman today from Queensland, Australia. "Gavin has the most powerful leg in football that will flip the field in any situation. He will be a master of pinning Coyote opponents deep, especially when using Aussie style punts.

"He is blessed to become a part of the Coyote football program," Coach Chapman added. "He will begin his journey with the team at the start of training on November 13."

President and Head Coach J. David Miller couldn't hide his smile today during the announcement.

"Just watch the film," Miller said. "Every kick, boom, every punt, sounds like a gunshot, and the ball disappears into the night. He averaged 69.5 a kick. He drains the ball out of the end zone on every kickoff. And he's an Australian Rules guy who loves contact.

"Our biggest challenge will be keeping him out of the pile," Miller added. "He plays rough and violent, which makes him one of us. We are extremely proud that ProKick Australia, is trusting us with Gavin for a season."
The Coyotes are the first AAA football program to officially launch a foreign exchange player program. The Coyotes currently wear the Italian flag on the back of their helmets, and this season, will add the Australian flag, alongside their United States colors of Red, White and Blue.

The Coyotes report to camp November 13 at Big League Dreams. The Coyote coaching staff will meet Gavin when he steps off the plane from Australia the night before camp.

The Coyote family will adopt Gavin and help him prepare for the team's opening day December 8 in the historic Pac West Catalina Kickoff Classic against the Arizona Flying Dutchmen.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Temperature at kickoff is now predicted at 38 degrees
