What’s the one thing a footy fan wants in their defenders? A sense of reassurance.

Lav has become reassuring in his role. His ability to win one-on-ones in the air and on the ground has become a comfort to me. Compare this with the anxiety I felt, not that long ago, when I first saw him line up in defence and I am a little amazed by his quick development.

I love Laverde so godamn much! Keeps getting knocked down and finding a way to get back up. Easily our most important defender at the moment. Cannot wait for him to get re-signed.
