FISHER TALKS UNDERWAY

NORTH Melbourne has put pick 42 on the table for Carlton's Zac Fisher as the Roos look to land the versatile Blue.

Fisher last week underwent a medical with North before officially requesting a trade to the Kangaroos from Carlton, where he has two years to run on his deal.

The start of the trade discussions has seen the Roos put forward their third-round pick for the 25-year-old, who has played 107 games for the Blues since being drafted in 2016.

I dont rate him. Floats in and out of games too much and maybe because there are too many ball winners in the Carlton lineup.
Also there's a weird obsession from commentators and the like about wearing shorts 2 sizes too big.

End of the day if we get him for a 3rd rounder then he's excellent depth because right now WE HAVE NONE.
Happy we started with a 3rd. This deal should get done fairly quickly then because where we've rated him is spot on.
If Carlton see otherwise then they can f*** right off

We appear to building a nice little WA crew there with those two and Logue.

34 from WC would get it done for Carlton.

42 for Stephens.
Pardon the intrusion but this is where I think it'll land when the dust settles. We'll ask for a pick in the 20s or aim to navigate to your 2024 end of first with some more pieces but will likely finish somewhere in the middle. With compo picks etc, all picks get pushed back though so fairly certain we'd rather Fish on our list than the 35-40th best youngster.

It'll get done though, probably after McKay and Goldy get moved on.

Look after the slippery fish though - have loved watching him run around for us. Was my son's first favourite player and is bloody exciting. Wish him well at Arden St.

comparing apples to apples ( or in this case fish for fish) you got aaron mullett as a DFA so we should pay nothing for fisher.

Few things:
  • appreciate the wordplay here
  • can't compare Mullett to Fisher
  • Fisher has 2 years to run so not comparing the same things
