"The Coach" (TM HTB) should go the old school route at training. Toss the ball into the middle and make each player compete for it, charging in off the square from opposite directions. The first to be literally knocked out stays in the twos.

Not a big wrap for Mullett atm, but also haven't seen Hine play yet...

...So not sure why I'm even posting here to be honest :D

Hine... Eventually. But probably underdone with the shoulder op he had over the preseason I'd say. Don't think he'd be match fit for round 1.

There's also Jacobs, Macmillan, mckenzie also vying for that spot too in round 1.

Reckon Macmillan needs to really adjust his game and become a more defensive player.
With mackenzie and mcdonald coming through next season he will be under pressure to remain in
team.
Needs to become a lockdown defender or run with player.

I agree, will add more notches to his belt

I saw some of Hines games 4 gcs after we picked him up.

Love his hardness, has good speed, his kicking is a big worry.
He picked up 26 touches against the Swans while keeping Jetta to 16.
Happy we picked him up.

Is there any way that Aaron Mullett could become a very dangerous weapon, out on a wing?

I also read that he doesn't have great defensive skills, but neither does Matthew Suckling at Hawthorn, yet his absence will be a massive loss in 2013. Although he's part of the reason why the Hawks lost the flag in 2012, so perhaps we want blokes who are going to be there when the whips are cracking in September?

I think Mullet is 3 years off being able to kick like Suckling, if ever. They had highlights of Suckling kicking last night on Insider and the power generated through his core and legs when kicking makes Mullet look like a twig. Fishy looks like he should be a beautiful kick of the ball, but I think we get fooled by the poetry that is a left footer. Mullet has the chance to be more of a Clinton Young type, which wouldn't be the worst result for us.

I was about to say the same thing. Doesn't have the bullet/flat style kicking of suckling but more the loopy high long bombs that Young has. Also doesn't attack the way suckling does....he doesn't try those high risk kicks the way that Suckling does.

He could be dangerous on the wing, but again really needs to step up his defensive side, he doesnt strike me as the sort of player who could create and find the footy in space like say Gibbo or Anthony does.

Mullett's played by far the most amount of minutes in this PS. It suggests they're trying to fast track his development in a new, deeper, backline role.

Mullet takes risks with his kicking, one might say too much risk. I believe the guy can kick, its just going to take time to adjust to AFL pressures before we see it consistently.

We've got of the best stopper going around in Brady, surely it's only a matter of time before all our younguns possess the defence of ten men.

Brady needs to start working with them a lot more if that's the case, the majority of our midfield still only runs one way too often.

What's his role been the past few weeks? Playing on a small forward, running half back kind of thing? Do you think he will be a consistent performer this year?

Good stuff Mullett

Congratulations to North Melbourne's Aaron Mullett as the round two #nabaflrisingstar nomination.

Great news. Played a good game on Sunday. Some of those kick-outs...it was like I was watching West Coast.

Congratulations Fish. Much improved performance. Some beautiful kicks and defensive efforts on the weekend. Definitely the one to take kick in duties in the future.

Now we just need a crowbar to the knee for Wines, O'meara, Whitfield, Patton, and Viney and he's got it in the bag.

Also expecting nominations for McKenzie, Daw and Hine
