The line looks thicker where the bowlers foot lands, because the the constant landing wears the pitch down in that area.
This means the ground is no longer flat, but curved, so there is a parallax error where you have a camera, at a certain height above the pitch, 80-100m away in the stands, looking down onto the pitch which goes from flat, to curved/worn down (where the bowlers foot lands) to flat.
End result, an apparent widening of the crease. if you looked at the crease directly above, it would appear the same thickness (because it is).
