Both were meaningful innings but Usman’s was the closest one to being ‘built.’ Green is a class player but again his innings galloped along as though his plan was simply to be aggressive.

You can’t bag guys for doing it and succeeding - it’s a lot better than the alternative - but same as Dickwella in the first innings it wasn’t a nuanced knock where he’s had to come up with multiple methods and manoeuvred his way through the innings. It’s not a shot at australia they’ve done it better than Sri Lanka have. It seems to be a trend in the cricket I’ve watched when the conditions are very spin friendly.
Green only hit 6 boundaries in his 77. It wasn't defensive but it was basically a bunch of singles and twos along the ground to blokes on the fence. I certainly wouldn't call it aggressive.

Too bad they don't keep track of overturned decisions per umpire. Kumar would have to be more than every other umpire combined

The ICC actually do keep a track and its used to rank umpires and decides who is kept on the elite panel. Its odd for Kumar to have had such a bad game but thats what reviews are for especially on a spinning deck
