I would be wanting more than 30 goals from a KPF playing in the richmond foward line with a misdfield of
Taranto Hopper Dusty Bolton Prestia
Out of that list realistically only 2 of those players will be able to hit him lace out.

Didn't see it in his highlights but I hope he is able to hold space and wait for the ball to be kicked on his head.

They dont need to hit him lace out

there will be enough ball coming into the foward line for him to get around 3/4 opportunities a quarter and 10-12 a game
if he cant average 2 goals a game then may as well have kept jack for another year

Obviously you hate Kosi. fair enough I have zero expectations for him. I'm not expecting a reincarnation of peak Riewoldt. Kosi seems like a good moneyball pick.

New coach, the whole team has to improve. Gun midfield on paper delivered us 13th on the ladder.

How many weeks are you giving Yze to bed the gameplan?

Lynch off 4 games last year? . How many pressure fwds?

Pretty sure Jack was finished, kicked 9 goals in his last 9 games as the main forward.

Lynch will be our Jack replacement and Kosi our Miller. I would be very surprised if he doesn't easily do better than Miller, who after all basically failed at CHF. Just couldn't impose himself.

One thing about Kosi that even detractors from Hawthorn say about him, is that he imposes himself on the contest. If he can make a contest, mark the odd one, bring it to ground and hassle when it does, he will be a very important player for us.

If Kozi can just hold he spot and 1/2 it then we are ahead of where we have been

If Lynch comes back good then our forward line starts to function again. We win a few more matches off that alone

Why would i hate Kosi ?

I dont hate him and hope he becomes a gun player for Richmond. I just hoped we didnt give up too much to get him as he has only been a meh player to this date with guest appearances in 90% of games i have seen him play.

We gave up very little so that is no longer and issue and i will support him at the Tigers as i do with 99.99% of the players

Only player I’ve seen do that for us was Richo. And he was fukn good.

If he can pose a threat to defenders and make them conscious of him, then he's done his job. That will mean that he needs to kick at least a goal a game and takes a few grabs. If he can do that, Lynch and us as a club, will be the beneficiary.

I hope he surpasses that expectation and becomes a genuine key forward star but, realistically, we just need another target up forward that can act as a foil for Lynch. I think he'll do that and the club will shoot up the ladder as a result.

Opposition defenders are gonna shit themselves when the ball is kicked right above their head and they hear kosi running up ready to crash into them

Kozi’s 2023 was quite ordinary. He kicked more than 2 goals only three times all year at both VFL and AFL level. 4.2 against VFL Richmond, 3.1 against VFL Coburg, and 3.0 against AFL Brisbane. Lots of 1-goal performances. His 2023 wasn’t that much better than Miller’s 2023 tbh.

One thing going for Kozi is his past. His 2021 season in particular was decent. Not Lynch’s 2022 level good, but still decent. If we can get him at least to that level, then his acquisition would be worth it.

Kossi will improve due to a couple of basic things:
  • Richmond and the coach have faith in his abilities
  • He will be tutored by Lynch
  • He is aggressive in the contest
Richmond sent pick 49 to Hawthorn, so he won't be burdened by unrealistic expectations.

Speaks pretty well to the media and seems to want to get better which is a huge plus. Lets see if he can go through with it.
Interesting that he said one of the reasons for moving was the opportunity to learn off an experienced kpf in lynch, something he's never had at Hawthorn.

Imagine this guy clicks and can kick a couple goals a game. Would he huge for us.
