There’s really no point in tanking these days without priority picks. We’ll be s**t anyway. Maybe get pick 2 instead of pick 4. Big deal.

Sure we can get some games into the kids but we’re gonna be shut whether we make a concerted effort or not.
pick 1
plus 2 from Parish
And i reckon we should get a priority pick. surely we qualify for basketcase status.

If we finished bottom and get pick 1 we won’t get pick 2 for Parish.

There’s no actual system, they make it up as they go along.

Picks 1 and 2 wouldn’t “smell right”

They’d find a way to give us something shittier

Yeah collar bone is a far better outcome than AC joint or splattered scapula or something like that

Not really, if the shoulder is put back correctly without delay and no nerves have been damaged then a return to sport can happen after a few weeks. That's unheard of for a broken bone/fracture though.
I’d rather take the risk of a collarbone which is a usually a 4-6 week injury, than a dislocated shoulder. Which always seems to be a shoulder reco these days.

Other reports say dislocated shoulder
Jones and Weideman guaranteed now you would think.

Question is whether we bring in Phillips to 2nd ruck or someone like Voss so Weid can 2nd ruck instead.
Jones, Voss and Weid could be interesting to watch

i dunno. i think the league is over us being garbage. we bring the $$$. they'd love the prospect of the pies, tigers, dons and blues all being up there with blockbuster MCG games 16 times a year.

2 for Parish is no less "smellier" 3 for Frawley.
If we were North, maybe it'd be some garbage 2nd rd pick. but we're not.

Like they did when we finally "qualified" for a priority pick. No first round for you!

Usually a dislocation would be put back in place and strapped, surgery would be if the damage is more severe and/or the shoulder keeps coming out coz ligaments are loose or something so they’d operate then to clean and stabilise the joint. If it’s his first dislocation then it could just be put back in, ice it for a week and then play strapped until it fully heals.

I’m sure people have played with broken collarbones before too… they’ve certainly played with broken legs, broken fingers and broken ribs. Surgery can pin it back together and then you get on with it even if it does rule him out, 4-6 weeks sounds more reasonable. As long as it’s just a bone fracture and not affecting the joints at either end (the more common one is the AC joint we’ve heard so much about, but that bone is jointed at both ends).

Depends how bad the dislocation is, they don't just send them straight in for a reconstruction if there's no major damage as noted above. It's when it starts slipping out more easily due to stretched ligaments and such that it causes issues. I assume when they say dislocation it's because it was a full dislocation and not a subluxation as well, but might be waiting on scans to confirm that one.
