Thank feck for that late equaliser which by most reports wasn't really deserved.

Our next 4 games are huge - Hull, Leeds, Cardiff & Derby. Good results in those 4 could see us with a huge chance of winning the Championship. Poor results & we'll be scratching for a Playoff spot with the rest.

Cardiff lead 1-0 at half time against Preston.

Peter Whittingham with a good finish just before stoppage time.

Not a lot in the match.

Nugent suffered a fairly heavy knock to the face after colliding with the hip of Cardiff's debutant keeper but he seems to be OK.

Preston had a few chances and Nugent forced one great save out of Forde but unless they improve this game has 1-0 all over it.

I'm surprised a goal was scored to be honest.

Finished 4-1, great result for us, pity we couldn't have gotten something out of West Brom midweek, as that would've really given us a strong position going into the upcoming fixtures against Brum, Soton, Derby, etc.

No more predictions from me. Even after watching the first half I can't get close.

Ended up an easy 4-1 win to Cardiff which moves them up to 4th on the table, ahead of Preston on goal difference.

Nugent didn't return after half time with what was reported to be mild concussion which didn't help Prestons cause but I don't think it would have made that much difference in the end.

Chopra started the scoring off with his 20th goal of the season from the penalty spot to make it 2-0. Preston captain Graham Alexander reduced the deficit to 2-1 also from the penalty spot after Neil Jod23 Mellor was fouled inside (?) the box. A couple of minutes later Johnson drifted in unopposed at the far post from a Whittingham set piece to score before Chopra added his second after some excellent work down the left hand side by man of the match Whittingham.

Cardiff were very impressive. On that form they are as good as any team in the promotion race.

Saints are down to 7th. :(

Chopra is awesome.

You make an excellent point there. I must agree with you.:D

Great to see City on the telly for the 4th time this season, and seeing the sublime Whittingham up close for the first time. impressive.

Now just need the saints & Mackems to slip up tonight.:)

Saganowski seems a decent pickup for Soton, puts them 1-0 up agaisnt Ipswich in the first minute.

Loan signing from memory? Sainter?

COME ON YOU REDS!

Yep, our only signing in January.

Burley rates him enough to start him before Rasiak.

And yes Mr P@H, 30,001 Poles in Southampton now. :p

I bet you weren't chanting that last Sunday.

Hull take the lead over Birmingham through Windass.

Well, we were directing chants towards the reds supporters. ;)

HULL!!! :thumbsu:

Connolly penalty puts Sunderland ahead of Derby - huge result!
