Comedy Gold:

Leeds have been battering Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road. And now they trail 2-0, Chris Brunt lashing home the visitors' second goal from fully 45 yards. Stunning goal, and Leeds are heading to League One.

You know you're going down when **** like that happens.

2nd goal is a cracker. Sign him up Eggy

Teams are going to take so much delight in knocking the Hammers off that they'll never get promoted. :D

**** me can those two games get any bigger?

It doesn't.

I disagree with most Saints fans as I'd like to see Cardiff win.

Sure, it means they'll go 3 points ahead of us and we'll drop out of the top 6 but the idea of Birmingham clearing away and taking one of the automatic playoff spots becomes a very real possibility.

Of course I wouldn't be shedding a tear over a draw either.

Whatever happens though, we simply have to beat Preston and Stoke in the next 2 games, or get 4 points at the very least.

Birmingham v Cardiff is 15 minutes away from a start, live on Fox Sports 1.

It's 0-0 at half time.

I don't think the conditions made things easy Embers.

Personally I thought it was a good half of football.

Cardiff definitely had the best of it but as the half went on Birmingham started to get into it more and more.

I thought the ref got it right by not awarding the penalty too.

And surprise surprise Bendtner had done nothing at all. ;)

The conditions are atrocious, it has made for a very difficult game but it is tough and one goal could almost do it. Chopra extremely unlucky not to get a penalty but should have done better with the chance directly after.
I'm impressed by the way the Bluebirds are playing so far, away to Birmingham is a tough ask and we have stood up so far, a long way to go yet.
A repeat of the Man Utd win would be nice ;)

Talk about a one man attack. Can they score without Chopra?

Its still better then our no man attack

All over. 1-0 to Birmingham to send them back to the top.
Very disappointing to lose, it was a bit of a lucky goal but you get that in those conditions, Roger Johnson almost scored a contender for goal of the season but their keeper pulled off a brilliant save.

Our defence was great and Alexander was fantastic, we just couldn't finish when we were on top. Gutsy performance by the lads anyway. Even though it was difficult conditions it was still a good game by two very fine teams, it's a pity it wasn't played in perfect weather.

Excellent win for us, to get out of this division you need these 1-0 wins and in a big game such as this where the prize was to go top of the table it was certainly job well done. Nice to see Larsson get on the scoresheet & show the manager he should be starting.

COME ON YOU BLUE MACHIIIIIIIIIINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The better team won in the end. Really dominated the second half. I thought it was a good, competitive match in tough conditions.

From our perspective that result probably ended our slim automatic promotion chances but boosted our chances of making the playoffs.

It all comes down to tomorrow though. We can't afford to let Preston move 3 points clear with a game in hand.
