Sh1t draw i think my money would be better spent on Foxtel rather then a membership.

Why are playing WC and Geelong in Manuka (two teams that can bring crowds to Melbourne) instead of PA who in a final we were only able to get 25,000 to the game. This is pathetic.

great first round and we get screwed TV wise....good way to start the ball rolling, compete against the Ess Vs Syd game.

3 friday nite games is good, as is the holy grail, a home game against the Bombers.

Interesting we play Geelong in Manuka.

No extensive travel in last three weeks.

About what we all expected I think, overall its pretty good, we should get a good run on FTA TV in 2006!

It's great to have the Easter Monday game with Collingwood!!!

I'd be interested to see what the club says about it.

Im not happy with playing WC and Geelong in Manuka, against these two teams we are able to pull quite good crowds, whilst aginst Port who we play at the TD we cant even pull 30,000 in a final.

Very interseting draw. Home games against Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton should be money spinners. We play the Blues in the second week of the split round as oneof two games that weekend. Essendon on a friday night and Collingwood on Easter Monday (and my birthday LOL). 3 of the 9 Sundays are the Canberra games.

Two trips to Perth and Adelaide. No trips to Bris or Syd. One trip to Tassie against the Hawks. Four away games at the MCG is a bonus too. We play the Doggies at the G which is far better than playing them at the Dome. I reckon this draw is nearly as good as we could have hoped for.

We should have swapped the NM v WCE game at MANUKA With the NM v PA AT DOME.
When NM last played WCE at home we got 33,500. almost 10K more than the last one v Port.

We have been fux0red yet again. Correct me if I am wrong but we play only 13 games in Melbourne!!!

Browsing through that I actually thought it was reading fixtures from recent seasons (rehashes)... and I probably was! For example playing:
- 2 Friday night games, one vs. Essendon, the other at FP vs. Adelaide (2004) - edit, missed the Carlton night game.
- Geelong @ Manuka (2003), West Coast @ Manuka (2002 & 2004).
- Port in Round one in Adelaide and later in the year (2002).
- An interstate team on Mother's Day at the Docklands.

In other words the same old $h!t.

Seriously, we've got home games against Essendon, Carlton and Collingwood. One of those is the Easter Monday game. We've got more Friday nights than last year, we don't travel to Brisbane or Sydney, we even get to be one of the 2 games in the split round.

Yet we still have so many complaints. There's some annoyance over times, but there's a lot of good in this draw.
