He will nominate.
Why would he want to go to the Gold Coast?

By the end of the carnival he will slide. His poor workrate, combined with opposition attention will see him come back to the pack.
He cant take a tag.
West Coast will not take Watts. no way. they'll take naitanui if trades go as we all suspect they will with Warnack to melbourne.
if this is the case the top 10 will look a bit like:
1. West Coast - Nicholas Naitanui
2. Melbourne - Jack Watts
3. Fremantle - Daniel Rich
4. Port Adeliade - Hamish Hartlett
5. Richmond - Michael Hurley
6. Essendon - Chris Yarran
7. Carlton - Shaun McKernan
8. North Melbourne - Jack Ziebal
9. St Kilda - Nick Suban
10. Brisbane - David Zaharakis
There isn't any risk of that at all. The GC don't have any actual picks until the 2010 draft, next year they just have access to QLD/NT players. He will nominate.
Why would he want to go to the Gold Coast?
West Coast will take best available whereas some other clubs take what is required... With this thinking doubtful Essendon would take Yarran, they have many similar players
This is all pure speculation, but I seriously doubt essendon would pass up taking Hurley if he's available when we pick.1. Melbourne- Naitanui (Best player in draft)
2. West Coast- Rich (They love him!)
3. Fremantle- Hartlett (2nd best mid in draft
4. Port Adelaide- Watts (need a key forward after Treadrea retires)
5. Richmond- Mckernan (can play forward or back for tigers- will fit in perfectly)
6. Essendon- Suban (more pace in slow midfield/ can also play of half back)
7. Carlton- Hurley (will be their full back- Waite CHB- allows Sentanta to play ruck or forward)
8. St. Kilda- Yarran (will put pressure on Milne and make him play better)
9. North Melbourne- Ziebel (another poor rookie who will be dropped after on game)
10. Adelaide-Robinson (played well in Div 2, and could be the surprise packet of the draft)
1. Melbourne- Naitanui (Best player in draft)
2. West Coast- Rich (They love him!)
3. Fremantle- Hartlett (2nd best mid in draft

Jamison is our full back, but we'd still jump at the chance to take Hurley when he kicked 6 goals in a TAC cup game this year.1. Melbourne- Naitanui (Best player in draft)
2. West Coast- Rich (They love him!)
3. Fremantle- Hartlett (2nd best mid in draft
4. Port Adelaide- Watts (need a key forward after Treadrea retires)

Does Carlton need an undersized ruckman resting forward or goal kicking follower?West Coast will not take Watts. no way. they'll take naitanui if trades go as we all suspect they will with Warnack to melbourne.

Watts will either go to melb if they finish last or he wont nominate this year if melb arent last. He has clearly no interest in going interstate thats why he is saying he hasnt thought about it yet(as if )He will clearly state to west coast and freo no interest due to school etc . So it will go that Melbourne gets him if they are last or if west coast promise not to take him ahead of natanui .Otherwise he wont nominate. The question then next year will he be in the no 1 box. Will butcher or scully or lucas be ahead of him then .He may have less control on where he goes than he does now.
I dont think Walters will got top 10 just based on his height. Im hoping he falls to WC PP or 2nd round Pick.

Are u forgetting 2006 Pick 2: S.Gumby and 2003 Pick 6: Kepler.Bunsure and dont think my dons will take Hurley because they have had 2 top 8 picks in the last few years. pick 7. Ryder (tall back), pick 6. D.Myers (tall Back)
unsure and dont think my dons will take Hurley because they have had 3 top 8 picks in the last few years. pick 7. Ryder (tall back), pick 6. D.Myers (tall Back), pick 23. T.Pears (tall back)
Fletcher retires at the end of 2009. We really don't have much time. Hurley would be ideal to help fill the gap.I thought Myer Ryder Pears would form your half back line... One tall the other flankers...
You could do with one of FF, FB, CHF.... I know you have Neagle, Gumbi, Ryder.. There is space for one more, but you would think you may have a couple of years to pick him up considering Lloyd and Lucas and Fletcher are still playing..
Negative. Lucas and Lloyd maybe but our key forwards are hopefully set (Gumby, Neagle and Daniher as a 3rd tall).I thought Myer Ryder Pears would form your half back line... One tall the other flankers...

You are obviously one of those footy 'experts' who watches plenty of their own team and then makes assumptions about others because they have seen them play once or twice in the last 18 months. When we played you, we lost one quarter out of four, admittedly we had a major brain melt and lost it by a lot, but we've got twice as much talent coming through the ranks as your team who's best player is a 30+ year old. Maybe you should actually pay attention to whats going on behind the scenes at other clubs before you start making gross assumptions about other teams after reading the score in the herald sun.Had a tackle at the top eight, will do the rest when the ladder is more settled and we get a better idea of whos who in the drafting stakes.
Melbourne - Melbourne are, and will be last for a reason, they're shite. They have the worst forwardline, worst backline, one of the worst ruck divisions and their midfield is second rate at best. Best available is the key for Melbourne. Natanui is that, plus he tackles some of Melbourne's KPP (or should I say lack of KPP) problems, not to mention their thread bare rucks. White wont be around forever. Natanui
Fremantle - I can see Fremantle pulling out the tank to be honest, infact I think it's out there now, either that or they're just really, really bad. I can see Fremantle going for midfielders. Their best midfielder is a first year player who has some kicking issues. Their second best is... Rich is a nice fit. Local boy, good foot skills and fits Fremantle's needs down to a tee. Rich
West Coast - Another team who has pulled out the tank, well hopefully for their sake anyway. West Coast have drafted a fair few midfielders in the past with Masten, Ebert and Selwood. Their midfield is far from good but with Priddis and Kerr it's the least of their worries. What is a worry is their KPP stocks. Hansen has a history of injury, Glass is only one man and you can only rely on Hunter to do so much. Lynch is all about delivery. West Coast could do with another big man to help them out. Hurley or Watt you say? Whoever they leave is going to Alberton, but who do the weagles want? Both would be good but I'm leaning towards Watt, he sounds like he is more suited to forwardline duties but they also said Roughead would be a FB. Whoever they take, it will be one of the top four. Watts
Port Adelaide - I see Port also pulling out the tank. They have an aging midfield and a host of young players who need a run, plus the coach has said so so it's official. Hurley rounds out the top four. Port need KPP, forward and back. Hurley
Essendon - Interesting pick here. Essendon will pick up a bit more wins I think and are improving. Their midfield is poor and slow and might want a midfielder. Considering that they also have picked up Ryder and Gumby in the past, the tendency to bring a classy small maybe too much to resist. Yarran fits that. He's not a pure midfielder but can rotate there and has good foot skills. Plus Essendon need another player who can set up goals and pinpoint passes to their KPP forwards. Maybe a bit high but I think Yarran will be the bolter a la Pendles. Yarran
Richmond - Who to pick who to pick? Trengrove, the ruck cum CHB? McKernan, who is another ruck/KPP? Or maybe a Harlett who would boslter Richmond's midfield? This is a tough pick. Richmond have strengths and weaknesses in all sections, a list which is not bad but not good either. Trengrove is probably the more mobile of the two but at 196/7/8, he's a bit short. May grow but may not. Injured too. McKernan is a good forward prospect but we have Hughes, Riewoldt and Morton. Not sure here but I'll go out on a limb and say Hartlett purely on the fact that our midfield isn't ready yet. Hartlett
North Melbourne - see Kangaroos slipping to be honest. St. Kilda still have something and Carlton look keen. North are like Richmond, strengths and weaknesses all around the ground. One area that would trouble them is their forwardline. Got good smalls, but what about the talls? Thompson isn't young and Petrie isn't a CHF. McKernan seems the obvious choice. Big, can play forward while helping out in the ruck. I know they just drafted Tarrant but this guy isn't Tarrant, he's better. McKernan
St. Kilda - this team is crying, CRYING out for ruckmen. King and Gardiner are short term prospects and Lyon knows it which is why he's playing McEvoy. Trengrove seems a good pick. Will help out down back and could play second fiddle to McEvoy. Injured yes, but the saints should be smart about this, one injury doesn't mean your career is over. Trengrove
I think everyone is happy with that. This year looks to be the year of the tall like 2006 and like 2007 was the year of the small so don't be surprised if a whole lo of talls are taken in the top ten.
Thats a long list, but most of them are either duds or untried. It's about quality not quantity.
