David Mundy anyone?? I am a bit biased being a freo fan but i think he could have a good season this year, with lots of midfield time and a more senior role in the side. I just think he could be a good mid range defender

What are some thoughts on Nathan G Brown. Has had some decent scores in the NAB games and is also a proven scorer when fit.

Is he too much a risk at his age or is he worth taking the punt. Trying to decide between Brown, Steve J or Gia. With Richmond looking like they will improve again this year, is he a punt worth taking.

I see that he could potentially outscore both of the other two and even push close to 100ppg.

Do any tigers fans know if he is still having any re occuring problems from his broken leg? How was his pre season?

I've been running Mundy around in my team lfctorres. By all reports he had a great game on the weekend. Is moving into the midfield and has good. durability. Not bad credentials?!

I think he only had 19 touches so unless they were all kicks from marks i think that is below his average output especially at his current price. Not that i know anything about the game on the weekend, he doesn't need many touches for reviewers to rave on about his game since he's a gun.

Hodge only had 19 touches because he only played the first three quarters. Is extremely fit at the moment, just lacks match conditioning. Averaged something like 110 last year after being moved into the backline. As someone already mentioned, he played every game for three consecutive seasons (excluding the enforced suspension for missing training after his 21st birthday). Is as tough as they come so it wouldnt surprise me to see him play all 22 games again. Is expensive but would be an excellent pick IMO.

I've got him in my side and i'm awesum at lyf so yeah get him on board.

Seriously though, his end to last season was very impressive and he wont recieve large amounts of attention due to the personel around him. His pre-season seems to have run smoothy. I think he is a safe bet and hes one of the only players that hasn't left my team since i made it.

hey guys i am tossing between 3 spots here
Nathan Foley Daniel Rich Travis Cloke Hamish Mcinthosh
or
Nathan Foley Travis Tuck Travis Cloke Jesse White
or
Travis Tuck Daniel Rich Hamish Mcintosh Travis Cloke with 57 Thousand k
or Switch Cloke with Okeefe and have $hit all left

and by the way i have cox which should help me playing him with White

I'd go option 1. Foley, Cloke and McIntosh could all become keepers (although I don't think Trav has much chance). So option 1 has more potential keepers IMO, so I'd go with that.

I'm not a big fan of starting a player like J.White in the ruck.

That's just my opinion though.

Option 1 seems to have the most upside to it IMO:thumbsu:

I'm having second thoughts about whether to include Pendlebury in my side. I am worried about his ability to shake a tag, I saw the pink pig tagged him in the NAB cup final and he didnt do so well. Should i downgrade to someone like a Foley, Tuck or someone in that range??

So let me get this straight.

Your qualm with Pendlebury is that he can't handle a tag, so to combat this you suggest selecting Foley?

Yep fair call although i think he picked up a knock? He is a gun no doubt and he will be in my team at some stage, just think he'll start a little bit slower. He couldn't manage a ton until his 4th game back from his absence last year. While respectable scores it's probably not enough to sustain his high starting price.

You could nearly argue that if indeed he does have a slow start it's a good time to get him in the side since no price fluctuation for the first 3 rounds means he won't carry them as long. Either way you look at it it comes down to personal preference how you want to go.

with goodwin playing around half back with his dream team increase or decrease? basically more cheap kicks vs more goals up forward

really struggling to pick another premium forward ( already got deledio and harvey)

what are peoples thoughts around 420-375k?

I guess it might be a risk worth taking. I wouldnt exactly say he is a safe bet though. I mean last year he had a good season by his stands being able to play 18 (missed the last 3), but the seasons before that he only played 11, 10 and 10 games. Yes he has a lot of upside in that i think he is a real chance to go to 95 or 100ppg as i said, but the conservative side of me says go for the more reliable Gia was is a lot more durable. Perhaps im talking myself out of it. I really dont know which way to go.

Trying to decide who to have in my second ruck spot

Aaron Sandilands or Josh Fraser

Josh Fraser can get some reasonable scores however im a bit worried about him being reliable injury wise.

Sandilands
Is a freak but the new tactics being used against him could see him struggle to score as high

whats everyones thoughts?

Would discount anything Hodge did prior to his role change last year. After moving back in Round 16, his scores were:

90, 99, 125, 116, 85, 132, 65, 103, 125
Avg. 105

He will play the same role this season. My only hesitation with picking him are the fact that there are plenty of other options in the backs this year, particularly among the highly-to-mid-priced players.

what's people thoughts on Buddy this year? I'm torn. 26 touches on the weekend in his first (practise) game for the year. I have a feeling he may play up the ground a bit this year, leaving Roughhead as the more traditional FF

Anyone picked him? Why/why not etc

Speaking of Buddy, Does anyone think you can fit both buddy and roughead in the same forward line? Looking at both their scores last year over every round it doesn't look like when one is up one is down. They both had strong years and should push even further this year. Thoughts?

Brown and McKenzie were playing on him. Not Glass. He did play four quarters which is a good sign. But still when you look at it, Hawthorn play Geelong, West Coast and Kangaroos in first five rounds. Last year he didn't score well against these three which is a good sign his scores will decrease

Yep, Brown played on Roughead and McKenzie played on Buddy from what i've read.

Travis Cloke or Dale Thomas?
Thoughts on Dyson, would you upgrade him to someone like Masten?

Also anyone around Leigh Fisher's price range that would be a better choice? already got Raines.
Thoughts on Birchall? would you upgrade him to someone like lockyer? it's unlikely ill swap birchall but just want to see other peoples opinions on it.
Thanks.
