Yeah im thinking the same now Lakey, and heres my reasoning. While Otten may well get a few possies, i think the Anzac Day match will obviously be high intensity as always, Beams should bounce back on the big stage and i think the tackle count will be way up this week.

(Assuming they both play.. and that I trade in Barham.. which looks likely).

I would probably go Beams... Just dont think that Barham is the new Dalziell.

Im thinking an anzac day blockbuster of zaharakis and beams could be on the cards.

It looks like it could be wet and windy over the weekend as well. Unfortunately, all three are playing outdoors.

I've also got to decide on which two of Rich, Otten and Beams to start.

Like Lakey said, you could make cases for each of them.

- Beams playing in a side that's well known for sharing points around.
- Rich has the highest average, and I'd back him to be the best scorer if all three games were wet.
- Otten has been super consistent, and another 70-75 is definitely possible.

Might have to flip a three sided coin

Scott Lucas...

I locked him in my team before the season began, however I am not sure that I should persist with him in my dream team. Lloyd and Lucas are guaranteed a game every week if not injured, but with Gumbleton and Neagle obtaining experience, I don't think he is the greatest of options. It is an extremely tough one. Lucas was more of a premium when he was playing at CHF, but now Lloyd and Gumbleton have taken this role which leaves him in the ff position along with Neagle. If Fevola kicked 99 goals and only averaged around 85, I can't see Lucas doing to well dt wise in the full forward position. But then again, he may produce enough money to upgrade him to a premium.

Then there is Skipworth. Is he a better option than Lucas? He is around 25K cheaper so that is a slight positive. With Welsh and Prismall out for a while, it may leave a spot for him in the midfield. He had two brilliant nab cup games thus far where he scored a whopping 99 and 92. For someone at 196K, he must be a lock. The only downside is that he must continue to play well or a kid will jump ahead of him. He has massive scoring potential and is listed as a forward but plays mainly through the midfield. He tackles, takes marks, goes in and under and kicks goals. The only major problem is that he may be dropped. But with Welsh and Prismall out, does this give enough time for Skippy to rise enough in price in order to be upgraded to a premium?

I agree with your comment about Bach Houli needs a decent coach to allow him to run and use his penetrating kick not look for short option all the time

thoughts on lenny hayes. has been getting 80s and 90s with only 60% time on ground. hes 390k odd at the moment and has a be of 140. will drop to around 360k in a week or two. when he starts regaining fitness and gets up around the 85% tog he could average 100 for the rest of the year. anyone looking at getting hime? i certainly am. will be dirt cheap in a week or two.

You mean as in start on the ground, or even get a game?

Beams and Barham will both play, I'll go to the game naked if they don't play.

Proven Dreamteamer and would be a good pick up a little later on. Saints are on a roll at the moment, so I'm not sure how long they can keep it up for. However, if he drops below $360k, I think he'll be an upgrade target for most people. Trouble is I'm not sure when he'll get back into full fitness. I'd wait till he gets 80% TOG before I jump onto him (could come mid-season break time?)

he averages more when hall is out as he becomes more of a target

Yeah that was my next step - to actually look at some figures to prove disprove what I claimed.

Dunno really. He's more of a target, but also more of a target for matchups with the number one defender too.

Thoughts on Rioli as a keeper for the year????

Need to get rid of Skipworth to avoid a doughnut and Rioli is a potential trade to have a high scorer like Cyril instead of a downgrade to a rookie.

Beams for sure. He has better ball control and skill. Baham did get alot of possessions last week but he lacked basic skills which could make him be a bench warmer for alot of the match.

but don't take my word for it, i always choose the wrong one anyway when it comes to these decisions.

I changed tact and I didn't get him. I downgraded Reilly to Hartlett, put Hartlett on the bench and put Rich on the field, and had enough cash to get Stevie J in the forward line.
