What do you guys think of Matt Suckling. Seems to have been getting plenty of pre-season games but can he actually be in your best 22? If not possibly games while injuries are around?

He seems a solid sort of player without being a standout.

Suckers has great kicking skills & should see some game time with Sewell Dasher Junior & Burgouyne & co injury-ed this is his first uninterrupted preseason in 4 years so the signs our good for him to have a break out year i wouldnt have him in DT OR SC better options out there IMO

I am really warming towards Brent Renouf but don't really know a lot about him other than he scored 99 in the last game last year when bailey went down early and that he played well in your practise match on the weekend when once again given majority of the ruck work. Is he ready to explode into a very good ruckman or is he like some comments say a "spud". Thanks.

Anyone who calls him a spud doesn't know shit.

He's a very mobile, reasonably skillful, tall-ish ruck, still improving...not a superstar, not a spud.

I would put hima rung or two above 'honest trier'.

He is at a point where I would expect him to break even with most rucks...get beaten by a few, and get the better of a few

Shoey will take the most mobile mid-sized/large forward...he'll start most games I would think.

Stratton would be with Murphy as the first cab in the rank when there are injuries...some would say ahead of Murphy, based on his pure 'stopping' abilities shown so far.

With Taylor injured, I think Renouf will be playing a lot of footy, especially early on. Dunno if he's good value for money but wouldn't be surprised to see his scores jump up early then tail off as others become available.

Stratton? No. He's a spoiler in the same ilk as Glass, Rutten and Prestigiacomo which means Fantasy Dud. I would wait till Round 1 to see IF he plays and how he scores before bringing him in. Maybe if you get an early injury to get a cash cow.

If he was cheaper I'd be all over him. He might win plenty of hit-outs this year but can't see him getting massive numbers in any other areas of the game.

General SC question since I'm new to the whole thing. Does anyone have any recommendation on Scully, Trengove and Martin? At the moment I've got Martin as my last playing mid, with two 100k'ish mids on the bench, and $480k+ players as the other mids. Should I be trying to get Trengove and/or Scully in, and if so, do I put them on the bench and swap a $480k player for a $400k player to pay for it, or do I replace a $480k player and use the extra cash elsewhere?

Sheuy from WC will get plenty of game time time 2nd year player & 60,000 cheaper than Sculley & Trengrove M Barlow Freo matiure age player who will see plenty of action aswell & Moles from Bulldogs will get game time at 86,000

Another way to go when picking a Midfield it's a risk but thats the game
Pick 2 elite Mids Ablett Mitchell Swann ect & 4 1st year stars Martin Cunningham Trengrove & Scully & spread you extra cash around your Backline & forward line & upgrade your 4 first year players when they rise in Value

Thanks mate, but Renouf should score better than Mumford seeing Seaby is the swans #1 at the moment.

When Tayls went down I thought I'd be smart and put Skipper in as a reserve ruckman who might go fwd occasionally.
Bargain price and figured he'd get plenty of game time

15-20 touches type games in defence.
Burnt it a fair bit in one game but didnt play most last year so no big surprise.
Will only get better imo.

Hes as certain to play as Renouf in first game
