have to bite the bullet this week sitting 5th on the ladder,in the league l give a toss about(sitting first in other grr) lose this week bye bye birdie.cant do a straight swap for roo so a down grade maybe martin for that young don kyle someone pods/rok to roo and one more up grade the following week.the lost last week really stuffed me up.

Haha... I'm such a douch... I don't even have Playfair anymore. Traded him out for Pav a week ago. But I do have Phil Davis & Fyfe on the bench... So will go Phil Davis to either Roo or Didak. The reason Didak is in the mix is based soley on the run home & form. I believe the Saints are more likely to rest players than the woods & the Saints have Etibad while the woods have the G...... That would leave me with 2 trades, about 150K & the following team:

DEF: Hodge; Goddard; Malceski; Duffield; Enright; Gilbert: Kennelly (Webberly, Roberton)
MID: Swan; Ablett; Selwood; Montagna; Simpson; Judd (Martin; JKT)
RUC: Sandilands; Cox (Skipper, Grimley)
FWD: Roo/Didak; Pav; Goodes; ROK; Rioli; PODs; Brown (Rockliff; Fyfe)

They're hardly going to rest Roo though are they? They need to get some match fitness into him

Rockliff - Riewolt for me. Didak is tempting but also but reckon I might just save the cash for any luxury upgrades that come along or LTIs.

the DEF trade is the hardest, as i have 5 DEF's of moderate value & performance and want to delay my choice till the last minute. As waters can score heavily at times, and hunt is consistent at pulling 70+ they are safe. maguire is solid average 70+, so its either silvagni or webberley. either way i'll have between $530,000 & $580,000 to spend. lake is the preferred option, but needs a low game this week to bring him into my price range. kelly is the next best. newman or enright also possibles.

the bench will end up being
DEF - maguire & webberley
MID - stanton & jkt
RUC - renouf & 83k
FWD - watts & playfair.

tonights afl injury list confirms silvagni is the one for the chop. I was today considering making it maguire due to his price, but thats off now.

and one last thing - attention afl clubs thinking of resting key players, and especially those in my team - DO IT THIS WEEK, AS I WONT CARE !!!

rockliff to roo is a good swap i was hoping to be able to trade hall for roo but not enough dollars in the bank, pretty sure i will finish 4th now without making any changes so might just keep my 2 remaining trades for the finals

Dilemma is of course, that Okeefe/Pods/Tippet may just rack up the big score, but are tending towards poo scores lately as well.

So: Fyfe > Roo is what I'm thinking. But Pods may get rested down the track too so it may not be a bad idea to offload him.

Fyfe to Roo works for me. Webberley to Kelly also on the radar

Consider Robbie Hicks as a downgrade - MPP - if looking around. Should debut very shortly.

rockliff doing just fine, personally. Can score large, gets it a lot and no chance of losing his spot. A very nice F7

Yeah with vjknight on the Didak .vs. Roo (and thus Etihad vs MCG) issue. Just see Didak having a better (safer) run home (haha, get it? ... run... on the horrid surface... ha... ha... no? ...anyway ).

Then saying that I do like the price & look of Roo & reckon he'll be punshing out 150's in no time.... Decisions decisions.

I'm holding onto Rockliff. He'll keep his spot. And for some reason Neil Craig & the Crows dropped Phil Davis for Bock last week so see Rockliff having more JS atm imo. However, if PODs is rested then I'm happy going the PODs > Roo trade. OR if ROK is injured then ROK > Roo & having Rockliff as F7 with Fyfe & Davis as cover. I have heaps of cash but a bit more for my last 2 trades couldn't hurt really.

I really can't see why people are trying to get rid of Rockliff. he is putting up a pulling close to a 100 every week. His spot is secure and he is playing midfield. In my forward line I would get rid of ROK, Pods, Higgins well before Rockliff he is a certain starter for me for the rest of the year.

Harwood 94K 61 lions
MacMillan 94k 41 roos
Speight 100k 40 roos
Hardingham 104k 89 bombers

I'm more concerned about job security, I'd love to wait another week however my hand may be forced if montagna misses this week, however I could probably handle a league loss anyway as I'm 3 in my main league and top in my other two.
Then I'll do fyfe to roo (didak may be better however I'd rather roo and mumford using the extra 60k over didak and tippet)

ROK before Rockliff? Dunno man, quality tends to rise to the top...Rockliff is going well but the kids tend to tail off towards the end of the year. Would you rather be going into a final with ROK or Rockliff?

Trading Rockliff to roo would leave me with Pav, Goodes, Roo, Thomas, ROK, Brown, Franklin.

To be fair though, Brisbane play Melbourne, WC and Bombers on their run home....hmmm

Maybe I will upgrade Ballantyne to Roo and leave Rockliff on the pine. Will cost me an extra trade though...

i have 4 trades left, and like most people i want to get Roo. The problem is i need to get rid of C.Cornes aswell this week, so i have a few options im thinking of and any advice would ge great.

option 1
C.Cornes > Fisher/Waite (have 506k to spend aleady got gilbee and Enight)
dont bother with Roo and save those 3 trades.

option 2
C.Cornes > Fisher/Waite
Rockcliff > Riewoldt

option 3
C.Cornes > to anyone under 460k (Gilbert, Scotland, Hurn)
Pods > Riewoldt

Would much rather keep Rockcliff than Pods though as an emergency, but i dont know what player to get that is under 460k in my backline.

Wasn't looking at trading Silvagni but now he's out for 3 weeks looking to take his cash for a young bloke likely to play in last few rounds. Should have gone Ash Smith from the Eagles last week but he's now up $74k. Next rookie on the bubble is Moore from the Power but with his first two games producing scores of 42 & 36 it isn't instilling me with huge confidence.

Should have gone Ash Smith from the Eagles last week but he's now up $74k. got the same problem and was about to make a comment

got 4 trades and 393900 in the bank

last week davis getting dropped, shaw and silgvagni getting injured gave me a donut, i need shaw back, was going up grade goose but now it will be silgvagni but hope fully do him next week, but if enright is rested then i am stuffed again


this week as per OP its roo in

got a choice of fyfe, hitchcock, gumby and watts

gumby and watts are likely to play rest of year so if pods is rested i can play one them

Do I trade fyfe or hitch?

then do my back upgrade next week

then downgrade martin or bastinac in 3 weeks

and upgrade most valuable b grader as last trade in rnd 22

With 1 trade left you are not it a position for a upgrade. Rocky and Sylvia scored 101 and 117 last round respectively. Hold the dam thing til one of your guns goes down with a hammy for the year.

I've got big decisions to make now.
Plenty of cash cows to use but only 5 trades and 200k+

Might have to trade 2 out and use the other 3 for upgrades / replacements.

I'm building huge momentum over my league opponents. Need to be very smart to win the comp.

Anyone know more about Moore and Ellard? Will they keep their spots. I'm thinking Moore's job security is slightly better. Going to trade Tippett (F8) for one of these this week to get some cash. TDL is forward 9, so wouldn't mind having some cover for any late withdrawals.

Leaves me with 4 trades and $450k, team is already complete but its time to plug some holes. Hurn, Higgins, Pods are on the copping block. Looking at Roo, Chappy (after he gets rested) and possibly Lake, although he might be out of reach.

Who you think I should get rid of first?

I'd be keeping Rockliff. He's solid in my fwd line as F7.
