Assuming ROK is right to play, Bartel is back and Montagna plays, then all is well in my mids. If Chappy misses out I might consider a trade in the fwds as I don't want to start Brown. If I have to trade I might consider getting Pav or SJ or someone like that. Hopefully no late changes by any teams involving my players too this week.

Really dont want to waste a trade on Chappy if he's rested, but will prob have to trade out Judd to Swan. Have played the last 2 weeks with 2 doughnuts which has dropped my overall ranking outside the top 1000. Going for league win, so dealt with the douighnuts so I could hold onto my trades for finals.

Early thinking, maybe go Gilbee > Lake. Gilbees out put has been rather ordinary the last few weeks 86, 88, 106, 77, 82.

Lake has gone > 156, 162, 114, 118, 114 over the same period.

My cash league opponent has Lake also, so thinking it will cancel him out.
Have double chance in all 3 leagues but with teams possibly resting players l don't want to blow the chance of having next week off.

What do you think?

with 4 trades left and 200k in the bank, and leunberger to sandi been on my mind for ages, should i wait for sandi to drop more and hope i get thru my first qualifying final (probably 60-40 to win it) and then get sandi before the prelim when he will be amazingly cheap (400-450 k)

or i could do it now and it would leave me with 100k approx in the bank then maybe save the money for prelim/ granny week upgrades

If Gilbee is your worst player, you should win regardless.

PPG difference could only be about 20 or 30. I'd look elsewhere for an easier spot to find 20 - 30 points.

have 3 trades left, thinking of going armstrong > hardingham and then pods to roo (200 bucks short of it now) then with my left over cash, come prelim/grand final, il trade skipper/tippet > sandilands.

thoughts?

anyone know what the deal with judd is? will he be back next week or what?

I'm thinking of doing Brown or Podsiadly to Roo (anyone have any opinions on this?) Also, I'm thinking of trading out Gilbert or Waters. Anyone have any opinions on a good defender? I already have Hodge, Malceski, Goddard, Gilbee and Enright. I have roughly 180k in the bank

Just need a little help with using my final few trades. Finished top 4 so have double chance but not sure on what trades to make to improve team. Have copped a doughnut in midfield with both Shuey and Gysberts on bench but still winning. But cannot afford to do it in the finals.

My team:

Backs: Lake, Hodge, Malceski, Enright, Hurn, kennelly, Gilbert
subs: Davis, Smith
Mids: Ablett, Swan, Goodes, Montagna, Goddard, Bartel
subs: Gysberts, Shuey
Ruck: Clark, Naitinui
subs: Warnock, Lobbe
Fwds: Didak, Pav, Franklin, ROK, Chapman, Brown, Rockcliff
subs: Pods, Watts

4 trades $23900
My initial plan was to downgrade either Watts or Warnock to whoever and use cash to upgrade either Clark or Naitinui to Sandilands. However with Sandilands struggling and Clark and Naitinui holding there average I am thinking otherwise. I could downgrade Gysberts to harwood or crighton to make enough cash for a Brown to Riewoldt. That would give me cover in mids with Pods & Watts as cover in fwd line. With still 2 trades left for injuries or a Sandiland upgrade next week. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Judd looks liek bruise rather than injury. Back this week.

you will prob do this anyway but.l'll say it anyway you should drowngrade one of your forwards to a MMP mid-forward and move goods to the forward line and up grade gysberts to good mid and trade ROK to roo if you can. chappy could be out this week.good luck

12 games over 100. Malceski has been a gun recruit for nearly everyone this year . How many trades left? Is you goal overall ranking or trying for league glory?

I've got a $500 1st prize cash league l want, and seriously thinking about Gilbee > Lake. My other 3 main challengers have Lake thinking about tactics with the winner getting the week off etc.

Yeah cheers good idea but who?? Pods, Brown or ROK would not give me enough cash for a gun mid. Only Rockcliff would but he has been doing well. At least better than ROK, Brown or POds. I could downgrade Rocky to Hicks and move goodes to fwd line and upgrade Gysberts to Judd. But I would burn two trades and still have ROK, Brown and Pods. And of course no Sandilands.

Am upgrading to Swan this week ....

My choices are Higgins or O'Keefe - am leaning towards retaining Higgins as he appears more consistent, however O'Keefe can churn out the big one and a very big little one !

Want to go for league and get overall... Finished on Top and league glory is important but if I lose this week I might face some teams who have saved trades..therefore this win is really important..

Copped a donut last week for Goodwin and don't want another one..

Strangely i moved up from 584 to 534 with a weekly rank of 30,000+ playing 1 short... really strange..

Judd, Chapman and Goodwin are concerns..

Not sure about Gilbee --> Lake

Surely u have other areas to fix (like some guy said before)..Gilbee hasn't been very steady...not great but steady in last 10 games..Enright is just terrible SC wise....

think about your situation for a moment, and then assume the following - some of those above you have exhausted their trades already, and as such injuries & suspension begin to bite - any of us could burn trades week after week, chasing the weekly prize, but come this time of year they begin to drop.

despite my very average performances lately ive simply kept winning. i knew i was playing weak squads so conserved trades and still won while others chased overall weekly or annual glory.

only now, with as much info as possible known, i do the trades necessary for league glory, and let the overall take care of itself.

be patient.

Last upgrade and will save 2 trades for the last 3 weeks. $120k in the kitty.

Henderson (D7) to who (will have 476,600 to spend):
*Fisher - been inconsistent but Saints have a great run home
*Heater - assuming he's back
*Broughton - Young gun settling back in after injury and Dockers have great run home. Not sure if Tazza being out will impact.
*Gilbee - Hasn't being doing much with the pill the last month or so. Could he get rested?
*Duffman - Has scored a ton every second week for almost 3 months. Would love it if he returned to his 2009 peak form. Dockers great run home.
*Gilbert - take away the last 4 weeks and he was the best performer of this lot. I'm worried they have finally targeted him and with the Saints being bested recently I cant see opposition teams changing this strategy.
*Dont laugh - Fletcher - Old, no hope of finals, risks regular tripping suspensions and minor injuries.....but have a look at his scores. With the exception of rnd 2 his scores are excellent 95, 65, 116, 94, 110, 105, 85, 111, 95, 103, 88, 85, 92, 98, 122.

yeah I got two in my league with zero trades left and in top 1.5k players. I've got two left and am ~5000, hopefully I can catch them.

Cyril is my only concern atm, and gumby went down as my backup so will possible trade him depending how many weeks he gets. 1; I wont trade, 3; I definately will, 2... not sure yet.
