Probably for the bitter Spurs fans out there, still complaining about the penalty he gave United when we were 2-0 down and went on to win 5-2.
From memory he also did some major stuff ups in a Cup game a little while back & came out & apologised to one of the teams afterwards.
Hey, if it was Graham Poll refereeing the match I'd be all over that $201.... although I guess he'd probably just keep giving them yellows rather than pull out the red

If you're betting on top scorer you should get on Muller @ $7.50. Right now there's a 4 way tie between Muller, Villa, Sneijder and Forlan all on 5. If it's still a tie at the end of tonight's game then they go to assists to judge who wins and Muller leads them all by 2 with 3 assists. So basically, if Villa or Sneijder don't score tonight, Muller wins golden boot and his odds are $7.50. Worth a lazy $10 at least, doubt the final will be free flowing and have heaps of goals.

Yeah but the Thai Parrot (or whatever that Bird is that picked the Dutch) will be swimming in crackers.
Not sure about Sportingbet, but Sportsbet and Centrebet also have the 'top goal scorer' market and don't mention the words 'golden boot' at all.
They do both however mention that 'dead heat rules apply'.
I really like your thinking on this one and it could have paid off.. but I would save my money because you're really just taking him at 1.88 at the moment. (FWIW Sportsbet and Centrebet have him and Forlan at 8.50 and 8.00 respectively).

I know it's for sure that they award the Golden Boot to the player with the most assists if the goals are equal at the end of the Tournament, which is Muller. I just don't know if that "Top Goal Scorer" market is for total goals or the player who wins the award. At first guess I'd say most goals obviously but someone on another thread mentioned they put money on it so I wasn't sure. Will probably just leave it alone. Villa will probably score anyways to make it irrelevant.
As for the match itself. Not sure on it, Spain will dominate possession most likely but Netherlands aren't without a chance. $3.75 not bad value considering Spain have been average all tournament, might have a little bit on that.

If it was Golden Boot, surely Muller would be a lot shorter if he was leading the assists as Villa/Scheijer aren't certainties to score..

Spoke to Sportsbet on their Live chat mode and they were standing strong on the notion that you get the top goal scorer and dead heat rules apply, so no deal there. Centrebet I wasn't able to call in time so I wacked a bit on Mueller there just in case.

Well that's the 90 mins done - no goals. Extra time goals don't count to player total, right? Hopefully Sportingbet weren't screwing you around DT. Having it split between the 4 all equal on 5 goals would be so annoying.
