Is Berger still a walk-up start for Perth at this stage? If so, hahahahaha. :D

He hasn't started one pre-season match I don't think. He is behind Howarth it seems (Who isn't a LB).

Billy Mehmet is on trial and supposedly played okay today. I'm concerned though that if we sign him it will be back to 4-4-2 lobbing long balls to him.

I hope we sign him, he played well this morning with Smeltz playing deeper. Berger seems to better left back going forward compared to Howarth but still need someone else.

In the first half it was 0-0 with Dodd, Burns (who injured a Bayswater player and picked a fight) and Sterjovski yet in the second half with the Brazilian, Amphlett and McGarry on for them we scored 3 times...funny that

wphx have confirmed the signing of spanish attacker dani sanchez. seems like a solid signing. Good to see how commited he is to the club with the recent comments he made

Yeah, his name is Bob Malcolm...

You could also go through just about every Perth Glory player in the A-League.:(

We've signed Billy Mehmet. Not the worst signing but not the best. Only 27 too which is a bit out of the ordinary from Glory's usual signing policy. Having an extra striker will be nice if Smeltz goes down.

Billy looked great against baysie the other day and worked well along side Smeltz and set the Kiwi up for both of his goals. They have played together first so will be interesting to see how he goes.

Need a left back now and ill be happy with the squad. Just get the best left back from the WA State League. He would come cheap aswell.

Welcome to the club Billy.

How can you automatically assume that he'd be cheap. Would he even be a better option than what we already have? Just a tad ignorant there.

Our only options currently are Evan Berger or Todd Howarth who is a left winger trying to be converted into a left back by Fergie.

Surely the state leagues have a decent left back that could slot into the A-League and do a job?

Like I said, isn't that what Graham Normanton was hired for? To spot local talent? Seems to have done dick so far.

heard madaschi to victory???

Victory looks set to seal a deal for Brazilian full-back Fabio, who has been trying out with the club for almost two weeks.

The defender played against Brisbane in the club's 2-0 win over the reigning premier in a pre-season friendly last weekend and did enough to earn a contract, which is expected to be finalised soon. The club is also close to signing goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas, 19, who has spent time with Sheffield United, in England's League One.

The Sydneysider has represented Australia at under-17 and under-20 level. Another player looking for a contract at Victory is sometime Socceroo defender Adrian Madaschi, who was training with the team yesterday.

Looks like the final three signings are coming...

Tough nut Steve Pantelidis is poised to become Perth Glory coach Ian Ferguson's final signing before the A-League season opener against Adelaide United at nib Stadium on Sunday week.

Quite possibly the biggest piece of shit to have played in the A-League. An absolute dog of a player who makes Jacob Burns look like a powerpuff girl. I don't want him at my club to be honest but, hey, he's exactly the kind of player someone like Fergy loves.

Perth Glory = Deportivo Hoofballthugs FC.

What a terrible move by Fergie. To think we could have Burns & Pantelidis in the same team.

Will not be recieving any kind of support from me. Woeful signing.

Colosimo allegedly poised to sign for Victory after dispute with Van Schipt over losing captaincy. Heart CEO has admitted it and says they won't block a move if he really wants it. Have hated Colosimo for years but would probably be the missing piece in the backline if he can return to his best.

As mentioned earlier Madaschi has been trialling but Victory weren't impressed enough to sign him.
