Because he didnt sign for Melbourne ?? Emerton has been the most consistant, VASTLY underrated Socceroos of the past 10 years and hes still playing quality in the EPL. In terms of marketability hes not in the Kewell level but as a players right now hes above it.

I wouldnt say better than Kewell because we all (well most) would agree Harry is probably the best player we have produced, but Emerton over recent times has been more consistant a player at NT level and club level. Dont think for a minute I dont rate the Kewell signing, its massive, but I think we are underselling Emerton a bit, maybe because it was Sydney who made the signing.

Ljungerg was last seen resembling a decent/passable footballer about five years ago.
And even at his peak he was made to look better than he was because of the slick footballing machine he was fortunate to be a part of. (and contribute to)

Dean Heffernan has decided to stay on with his loan club in China and won't be playing for Glory this season. Shame really, I was a fan and admired him as a great player until he broke his leg 2007. Now some stooge like Berger or Howarth will play at left back.

He is a RB. But he should get some chances anyway this year, he was brilliant last Tuesday against Al-Ahli and has looked good in all the games I have seen him since he got a start last season, plus this pre-season.
