Re: 2011-2012 College Football Discussion

Well it seems as if you hate everything bar Boise State.

SEC boring, Luck overrated, Stanford no D. I mean f"ck me.
It is true that. But I don't hate the SEC.

The only thing I hate in college football is Oregon and the BigTen.

I just speak the truth.

Re: 2011-2012 College Football Discussion

I think you sometimes muddle up opinions and the truth.

I mean if Luck is over-rated, than I have no more words to say. The guy is practically flawless. I mean you would of thought Stanford were dead for all money after the INT but Luck somehow leads them to a win in OT.

The SEC is not boring. The Alabama vs Auburn game last year has to be one of the best football games I have ever seen in my life. The few locals I was watching it with in a Chicago pub agreed with me. I mean if you want to watch offense, offense, offense... go watch Houston vs Rice.

There are a few good SEC teams that entertain me.

Tebow's Gators
Newton's Tigers
Arkansas

But outside of that, the SEC just lacks that offence. I want a good mix, like that found in the BigTen. I might hate the conference because of how overrated it is, but it is bloody entertaining.

What conference in Dirty Bird's opinion do you find the most entertaining?

Re: 2011-2012 College Football Discussion

Depends how GMs treat Moore.

Moore is the better player, but if he's treated like Doug Flutie because he's a little short, then Luck will get it via default.

Moore is the better player?

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

And being short isn't just the only thing wrong with Moore.

Re: 2011-2012 College Football Discussion

From a Boise perspective this weekend, I want LSU to beat Alabama preferably by at least 10 points. Even before both these teams play, a lot of pundits are already talking about a rematch of these two in the National Championship. I figure if LSU wins on the road by double digits, then the pollsters would be less likely to jump Alabama over an undefeated Boise by season's end.

Maybe, but you have a couple other problems-

1) Undefeated Stanford, who will have to beat Oregon and Notre Dame (OK, but you never know with the Irish) to remain undefeated. With those wins, they will be ahead of Boise State.

2) Oklahoma State- currently undefeated, with Oklahoma on the horizon. If they win that, they will stay ahead of Boise. If they lose that....

3) A one loss Oklahoma could leapfrog the Broncos.

Re: 2011-2012 College Football Discussion

A one loss Oregon who beats Stanford, and 'bama wins, could jump too, particularly if they beat the Cardinals comfortably.
computers arn't liking the Pac-12.

Oklahoma is the only non SEC 1 loss team who could jump us (Oklahoma State would beat us in computers, but the late loss will be fresh in the minds and the voters would put them below Boise enough for a buffer)

True, but I think Stanford is going to lose to Oregon, and OSU will lose the Bedlam game to their arch rival Sooners. Speaking of the Sooners, they have a couple tough games coming up vs A&M and on the road to Baylor. We'll see if they get through those unscathed.

I'm only worried about the 1 loss SEC teams jumping us. That also includes Arkansas who are quietly sneaking up the rankings.

Re: 2011-2012 College Football Discussion

Gee, Bama's FG team sucks- mind you, it has been a couple of long range efforts.

0-0 in the second quarter

Re: 2011-2012 College Football Discussion

How bad has the field goal kicking been in this game, it's embarrassing.

Luckily Wing is out there, or both teams would be going for it on 4th down every time.:p

Re: 2011-2012 College Football Discussion

Why'd it have to reach 3-3?

At least if it was 0-0 we could of had the excitment of who will score first.

Now that that is done, there's nothing interesting remaining.

How I wished they had Kansas State @ Oklahoma State on instead, 24-27 at the half...

On second thought, this game may be good for you. IMO, no way the loser could jump an undefeated team with offensive displays like this. Both defences are insane though. 15+ will play Sundays IMO.
