POBT
Brownlow Medallist
Hi all
We've had the polls and the endless debates on whether we should linger on Longer. Now it is time to put your reputation where your mouth is on who you think the Lions will take in this year's draft.
This is a bit of competition to see who can get closest to the pin with the Lions 4 draft picks - 8, 12, 30 and 47. This is how it will work:
You get points based on how many draft positions away your selection for each pick is actually taken. Eg If you select Billy Longer at pick 8, and he is taken at pick 9, you get 1 point. If he is taken at pick 14, you get 6 points.
Obviously, the fewer points you get, the better your score (golf rules, if you like!).
If your player is not drafted at all, your score will be the difference between the pick (eg pick 47) and pick 79 which currently follows the last pick in the draft.
I'm not sure I have explained myself well so here is a worked example:
Pick 8
I choose Chad Wingard
Wingard is drafted at pick 6.
I score 2 points
Pick 12
I choose Sam Frost
Frost is drafted at pick 21
I score 9 points
Pick 30
I choose Todd Elton
Elton is drafted at pick 30
I score 0 points.
Pick 47
I choose Brendan Fevola
Fevola is not drafted
I score 32 points.
My total is therefore 43 points.
We'll have posters self-score so we can just check the top few.
In terms of a prize, nothing is arranged as yet but we'll see what we can rustle up.
Go your hardest and feel free to ask any questions!
