2011 Ladder Predictions - Part 2

1. Collingwood - list deep enough to endure anything fate throws it's way
2. Fremantle - if Sandi is fit and firing at the pointy end will challenge
3. Sydney - very solid and will improve on 2010
4. Geelong - still a very good list
5. Western Bulldogs - will be thereabouts but not good enough
6. St Kilda - a club in crisis (see Facebook gay scandal)
7. Carlton - minor improvement
8. Adelaide - will start better and finish the same as 2010
9. Hawthorn - improvers but too many glaring weaknesses
10. Essendon - big improvers
11. Port Adelaide - will cause some upsets
12. West Coast - will win a higher % of home games
13. Richmond - continue to improve
14. Brisbane - not great, but not as bad as many predict
15. Gold Coast - will cause some upsets at home
16.Melbourne - will be true to form
17. North Melbourne - nothing doing here

You really can't help yourself can you?

You say we will finish 9th and be "improvers", yet we made the finals last year.

The most realistic ladder EVER

This is what I think could possibly happen

1. Western Bulldogs
2. Collingwood.
3. Essendon
4. St Kilda
5. North Melbourne
6. Hawthorn
7. Geelong
8. Fremantle

9. Carlton
10. Adelaide
11. West Coast Eagles
12. Melbourne
13. Richmond
14. Sydney
15. Port Adelaide
16. Gold Coast
17. Brisbane

1. Collingwood
2. Western Bulldogs
3. Geelong
4. Sydney
5. Hawthorn
6. St Kilda
7. Carlton
8. Adelaide

9. Fremantle
10. Essendon
11. North Melbourne
12. Port Adelaide
13. Melbourne
14. Gold Coast
15. Richmond
16. West Coast
17. Brisbane

4th - 7th could be in any order.

Would have had North & Freo in the 8 if not for injury problems.

1. St Kilda - Have a point to prove
2. Collingwood - Need to keep doing what they're doing and pray their kicking for goal doesn't hurt them
3. Hawthorn - Franklin having a big year will help them up the ladder. Strong midfield but they are missing something... Puopolo > Brown
4. Western Bulldogs - Will finish here or be the big slider. Can't see them challenging, not up to it.
5. Carlton - If Waite plays well and they can find another serviceable KPP they can challenge
6. Geelong - Falling
7. Port Adelaide - Motlop and Gray go a long way to fixing the goal kicking problems of last year. Backline/midfield at the right age. Expect big things from Boak
8. Fremantle - Not sure where to put them to be honest. I think losing players to other clubs and to injury will hurt them. Need Mundy to play well again this year
9.
Melbourne - Not enough experience. No solid KPP with Frawley out. Easy draw will help
10.Essendon - Remind me so much of Port of the last 3 or so years. They'll win a decent share of games but have a frustrating up and down season
11. Sydney - Not easy to stay in the top half year after year. Need to stick with Rohan, Jetta, Jack, etc. and hope they can put them back up top in another year or two
12. North Melbourne - Not experienced enough
13. West Coast - Don't have a game plan or the players can't execute it because they can't kick
14. Adelaide - Can't lose that experience and expect to improve the year after. Can set themselves up to be the big improver of 2012, in better shape than the teams around them
15. Gold Coast - First year
16. Richmond - No depth, not enough solid players for a clear starting 22. Will struggle but they have plenty of time to get it together. Might finish with more wins but not confident
17. Brisbane - So bad...

Collingwood - Pretty hard not to put them here
Western Bulldogs - Improvement will come from their established players rather than their young guys
Hawthorn - So I'm biased, sue me
Sydney - Very talented, under rated list
St Kilda - Will slide a little without completely bottoming out
North - Talented young list. Better than Melbourne's IMO
Carlton - Won't make any major improvement
Geelong - Time will catch up with them
------------------------------------------------------------
Melbourne - Will take a little more time
Freo - Nothing is going right for them
Port - See Melbourne
Richmond - Still a few years off, but a very good looking midfield
Adelaide - Over rated by many IMO
Gold Coast - Will get some home wins and 1-2 away wins
Essendon - I'm not going to be swayed by NAB cup form
West Coast - See Richmond without the midfield part
Brisbane - Does this even need an explanation?

1. Hawthorn - 20 year anniversary of our 1991 flag, good vibe this year
2. Collingwood - a very strong runner up
3. Bulldogs - always close, but never close enough
4. Geelong - credible performance from the aging champions
5. St Kilda - missed the window, not enough young stars
6. Carlton - will finish top 8 if Judd stays healthy
7. Adelaide - very good on their day + strong home ground advantage
8. Essendon - will surprise in 2011

9. Fremantle - just coz
10. Melbourne - great young talent, need a better coach
11. Sydney - on the slide, but will win enough games at home
12. North Melbourne - poor preseason, will struggle this year
13. Gold Coast - will win some early games before falling away
14. Richmond - not enough talent across the ground
15. West Coast - need a new coach
16. Port Adelaide - patchy list
17. Brisbane - Michael Voss has destroyed the fabric of this team in just two years

You've been saying our list is rubbish, pre season wins mean nothing, yet you have now somehow backpeddled.

So what is it? Are you now owning up to being wrong and changing your prediction or was it just a typo
