Well done to all concerned. Congratulations to the Membership Department and to all of those at the club who have assisted us to get to this figure. To the volunteers who have spent their own time in chasing up lapsed members. To all of you who have done the right thing and bought a membership or 3. It may not be 30,000 in the eyes of the AFL but I put that down to a lack of creative accountancy on our behalf. Yeah and the June/Early July cut off. We live and learn. May we smash 30,000 next year.

I think you can keep buying memberships until the end of the season, they just aren't counted in the official AFL figure

Can someone clarify for me :
* the difference between the club's posted total and the 'official' AFL total is the number of members who in categories that don't provide admission to games?
* what are the 2 totals for this year vs 2010?

The difference would be: One Game Members + Non Game Admitting Members + Any Members who signed after June 30

According to my figures:

2010 Official AFL: 26,953
2010 Club Total: 29,272
2011 Official AFL: 28,761
2011 Club Total: 30,324*
