A lot of talent taken out of this pre-daft with GWS concessions.

I agree it looks a bit vanilla now, but I think some guns are starting to emerge.

Pretty stoked with Neale and Sutcliffe, especially at such late picks. I'm not writing off Sheridan or Crozier just yet but with three top 30 picks I would've liked us to do a bit better.

Talia? Ellis is streets ahead of Talia but I'd have him behind Hill, Wingard, Tyson and around level with Clarke & Williams.

No way is he level with any of the guys you mentioned IMO, I'd say he's better than Hill.

Probably equal with Wingard, Tyson, Talia.

The good Talia was drafted in 2009 ftr. Michael hasn't done all that much so far.

1. C Wingard
2. D Tyson
3. B Ellis
4. T Mitchell
5. J Patton
6. L Neale
7. D Smith
9. B Hill
9. S Coniglio
10. J Newnes

Pretty good draft, plenty of other players that would be pushing the top 10 in Sutcliffe, Yeo, Hoskin-Elliot, Adams, Greene. In a couple of years i'd expect Patton, Longer and Kersten to feature higher.

I remember hearing that this was meant to be a fairly shit draft, but as it turns out it's actually quite strong.
Goes to show how important club development is.

A number of players that a club can build a side around. Ellis should be number one for mine. Complete midfielder. Patton could displace him when his teammates learn to control a game.

Bradley Hill is one of our most important players, and I believe to be the steal of the draft.
Rated third in the league for metres gained (just behind his brother and Yarran), and that's particularly impressive when he shares a role with Smith, Birchall, Suckling Mitchell and Hodge. Without a doubt the most exciting young player we've had at the club since Cyril, and was one of our most important players in a premiership winning final series.

Tom Mitchell shouldn't be top 10

On proven form? Maybe not.

On how good do you think they become? He probably should be.

Long story short, it's too early to say for sure who's good from this draft and who isn't.

Compare the stats mate, he's better than Neale and Hill for sure.
To say that he's anywhere near Wingard and Talia is just.... idk what to say.
Hill is an outside runner where as ellis is an inside mid, Hill doesnt even need that many possessions to be effective, so suggesting a comparison of their stats is quite proposterous. Ellis a good player, but if the draft is held today, he still wouldn't be top 5.
1. Wingard
2. Talia
3. Patton
4. Tyson
5. Mitchell
6. Hill
7. Ellis
8. Conigilio
9.Greene
10. Smith

Shows you have no clue about Ellis. He is as outside as it gets!
