Koby stevens will surely be asking for a trade. When he does get a game e start him as sub which doesn't suit his game at all.

WCE supporters talk him up so much so am assuming he has some currency even though he was a mid 20's pick he hasn't had many games to prove himself.

I'd love to use him and our first rounder to pick up a quality outside mid!

We overlooked him due to concerns about his kicking. Has it improved?

Gezim you want mckernan..who would you give up from carlton draft pick wise? Mckernan is seen to have a lot of potential. He is a big man and we have obviously not seen his best as big men take time.

maybe paul bower + 2nd round pick?

or paul bower + 1st round pick + maybe a sweetner for Smack and Andy Otten

^^^^^ terrible trade for the crows!

Two guys who were top 25 picks and have shown a fair bit for a pick in the 20's in a poor draft and a tall defender who can't crack it in your best 22 when you are screaming out for someone to fill that 2nd KPD possie.

What could you offer us for Clark? What would you offer for Maguire.

For clark which would probably never happen id give up david hale even though we just traded for him or renouf and xavier ellis?

maybe not maguire but deffenitely would target merret

Thoughts on Zac Clarke to Tigers for one of our ok 3rd defender types + a draft pick (3rd rounder? Shuffle 2nd rounders?). I'm thinking Thursfield, but potentially Moore, McGuane, Post, Gourdis (Perth boy, but struggling for a game, and just had a run in with an ump in the VFL to get himself a 5 week rest!).

Rance is looking to be the pick of our defenders, and is a Perth boy (not that that always means a lot, but makes some sense he may be more likely to entertain a move to his home state). Seeing we're thin for a #1 defender, not sure we can afford to lose him though.

Someone like Thursfield or Gourdis could be that 3rd tall. They're somewhat maligned players at the Tigers, but you need to remember that they're playing in the Tigers defence. Put them in a stronger defensive unit, playing 3rd tall (rather than 1st or 2nd as they're often asked to do at the Tigers), with a better midfield, and I think they'll be twice the player. :D

Clarke's signed up until at least 2013 so any play made for a trade would have to be overs. That said the club wouldn't let him go regardless of the price.

He's better than Warnock was in every facet at the time Warnock left us and we got pick 24? for him so you'd think it'd cost more than that.

We paid massive overs for Warnock though and he was your 2nd string ruckman at the time, Clarke is 3rd after Griffin.

His pecking order in the role he plays for us doesn't determine his worth to another club. It's his skills and ability that determines his value on the open market. You wouldn't go and pay overs for Angus Graham at Richmond because he's the 1st ruckman for Richmond.

He's not better than warnock was for potential, and no one thought you paid overs at the time. No one.

What would you give up for John McCarthy? He can play well at AFL level and could probably be a walk in for most clubs; maybe with the exception of a few with strong midfields though. Also Brent Macaffer or Brad Dick? Brad Dick might be a tough one, I doubt there would be much interest seeing as he has a terrible injury history, but still he can be an exciting player once he's over the injuries.

and any of the players that we would really want from melb would be their untouchables. the players they would need or want to move on ie morton etc are not great players and are not gonna land them any one great. time will be their friend. move some players on draft some in.

zac clarke is seen as the future at freo, so if you were richmond wouldn it make more sense to target shaun hampson? becuase its going to be very hard for him to re-break into the line up with warnock and cruizer healthy, similarly to jacobs last year off to the crows.
also how about nathan grima? and ofcourse jackson trengrove? to help out backline.
