The Reverand Lovejoy played football?

Yes he did, played for the Mentone Tigers in the 80's.

He was a skinny wingman with a funny kicking style!!

I think he is back at the tigers to assist OL as they have a good relationship which goes back to when Mick coached the Tigers under 19s .

Well, it matters on two fronts. Tom is not a current board member, a fact which you got wrong( I suppose facts are less important when you haven't got it right!).

Seccondly, it matters as his alleged behaviour has very diffferent implications if he is a board member.

Ok - let me be a little clearer for you Ron.

Firstly, I saw him doing whilst as a board member.

Secondly, are you seriously trying to tell me that it is ok for him to do so as the VP of an A grade team?

I think the gonorrhea has affected your faculties big Ron.

Mal,

It's not even round one and your getting half the forum offside!!!! Love watching it unfold but I'm not going to comment on something I nothing about.

As your from Malvern/Armidale will you be seen down at Diary Bell Oval this year?? or are you more of an Orrong Rd specialist?

If anyones interested De La v Uni this week should be interesting and worth a look (just to see Watts on offer), the game is being played at De la's Club XVIII ground.

God

Well, given that you thought he was currently a board member(NFI!), one has to question that he was in fact a board member when you saw him, as you have no idea if he is or isn't a board member!

Or perhaps he was a VP when he did it? Your story changes with every post!

Hey "God Yeah", is this a major announcement? Have the Ammo's allowed a side from Northern NSW ("Armidale") to enter the comp, and play at the newly named Diary Bell oval? Straight into Premier? Wow, big news. They will be very unhappy down at SholleyWood that you beat them to the punch with such a huge announcement. Hutchy and Carrroooooo will be spewing they missed it too.
Or have you just started the evening a little early on the sherberts?

People of Premier,

A couple of questions I'd like answered to put my weary mind at rest...

1. Did Jack Watts end up staying at Uni Blues?

2. What were the 'big' Collegians recruiting announcements?

DTF.

A combination of poor spelling and fat fingers led to my downfall.

Collegians have picked up Nick Saunter-around the goalsquare, Dixon Barclay (ex Captain of OM's), and the other big announcement was the return of Mr Joshua from Lethal Weapon into their coaching ranks.

Jack Watts - been no mention since he was last spotted training at Peanut Farm reserve with St Kilda City, who had offered him a massive sign-on fee (when spied he was bench-pressing his wallet apparently).

yes you you're right Big Ron - it must have been a can of Passiona that Mega had wrapped in a brown paper bag as he stood on the sidelines when I saw him that day down at McKinnon oval.

Bwahahahaha. Spot on and very insightful post! :)

Jack gave him a good run for his money in the brotherly derby at the Trott last year though.

I enjoyed it when his voice would break when he would give Sugar Taft a spray for being in his zone!! How I will miss that.. Now we'll just hear from the sidelines while berating his younger brother for not being as good as him

in East Bentleigh.

Mal,

You are telling so many porky pies and are that far off the beaten track it doesn't even matter.

For one Brainy doesn't even drink your so called "tinnies" and never has. When he was a Board Member sure he had a few "beers" at all the Lunches he was invited too, but that was it he abided by the rules all the time.

Last year as our Footy Ops Manager, and now as our VP, he may not like it but he toes the line and finishes at the end of Lunch.

And another thing he is such an honest bloke if he was going to have a drink he wouldn't be hiding it behind the ruse of a brown paper bag, he would be out in the open with it.

Suggest you watch what you say, because there are still libel laws around and if Tommy saw this he may not be too impressed.....

Thanks for the tip Beda.

I saw what I saw and it was pre his involvement with STBMT.

Just checked out the laws with a solicitor mate - apparently truth is a defence to 'libel'.

Any danger you guys moving on from this particularly boring topic? Agree to disagree and let's talk turkey!

Any news Of Note down at Uni land? Any recruits?

Sorry to do this to you Mr Squigs, but just can't quite move on yet. Just come in from a quiet Frangelico on ice at the Edgie, and overheard a few SBMT (St Bedes Mordialloc Tigers) players discussing Big Footy at the bar, in particular Mal from Malvern's attack on Mega. What was interesting was that they found it hilarious. Not sure you have too much to worry about Mal. They were more concerned with losing some of their better boys to clubs with cash - "Edie/Aspy" was mentioned.
Anyone know who they have lost?

Another rubbish post no one gone to Edi Asp that is 100 per cent certain....

Those that have gone will not hurt us in any way shape or form...........

I agree with Mr Squiggle. This topic is boring and has well and truly been exhausted.

any practice matches this weekend (in Vic) ?

De la and Uni Blues are playing each other at Darling Park on Saturday.
OK, here's my community service for the day:
The undergrads take on the LaLa's at Dairy Bell
St Bedes Mordialloc Tigers take on Sale Footy Club at the sandpit - no brown paper bags in sight (or to be mentioned even if spotted for fear of legal action)
The hedgeburners, take on the silver spooners at Bulleen
Old Faileybury, the boys from East Bentleigh, play Mr Joshua's mob at Linton Street
Think Old Xavs are going "Up Country" again - Murchison?
Old Fairy play East Burwood (they'll go nicely at the Burvale later on)
Who have the Finger Biscuits got? Does nobody want to play them? Not a good enough hitout for a side preparing seriously for A Grade 2011? Passadore's last game? Banfields last game? So many questoins. Looking forward to the answers!!

That's about as informative as this little Rah Rah will ever be. I'll get back to cheap (cheaper) shots from now on.
