Competitions 2012 Carlton Board DT and SC - expressions of interest

Hi all,

I have taken it upon myself for now to organize the BF Carlton board Supercoach and Dreamteam competitions.

Both competitions open in a little over a week so I thought it was a good time to start getting it all organized.

Both the DT and SC competitions are usually very popular on the Carlton board and I expect season 2012 to be no different.

Prepared a full formatted Excel sheet to work from and worked it for one week before getting bored of it all.

Just had a quick look at the relevant threads from last year.

DT: 49 participants (was enough for 3 full leagues in 2011, with a 4th filled with a few BF posters and other randoms.........would be enough for 2 full leagues in 2012, with a 3rd mainly filled with BF posters with a few randoms)

SC: 79 participants (was enough for just under 5 full leagues in 2011, with the 5th topped up with a few randoms........would be enough for 4 full leagues in 2012, with the 5th partially filled with randoms)

Credit to those that organized last year as interest levels were high. But this year with 18 people allowed into a league WE NEED MORE!

I've started this early deliberately so we can get as many Carlton supporters involved. At this early stage interest has been solid, let's keep that up so we can fill more leagues than ever before.

DT: 17 confirmed, 3 unconfirmed. We've got enough to almost fill one league, without the 3 unconfirmed.

SC: 19 confirmed, 1 unconfirmed. We've got enough already to fill one league.

The season is fast approaching, and registration to represent the Carlton BF board in both these fantasy football games is in full swing!

Current participation numbers:

DT: 26 (+2 unconfirmed)

SC: 28 (+1 unconfirmed)

Love Dreamteam, Supercoach, or both? Never played either game before but eager to give them a shot in 2012? Your level of experience is irrelevant! Each and every Carlton supporter is invited to join in the fun and represent our club.

This year, Division 1 entrants get the opportunity to represent the Carlton BF board in a competition against fantasy football enthusiasts from all other clubs. Help the Blues assume the natural position on top of the ladder and REGISTER TODAY!

When registering, be sure to follow the registration process as outlined in the opening post of both threads.

And remember - both competitions open tomorrow! That means the registration cut-off date is also not too far away, nor is the 2012 AFL season.

I note there are a number of posters who have expressed interest in this thread but have not yet followed that up in the appropriate thread. Please note that expressions of interest made in this thread that are not followed up will not be accepted!

Over the coming weeks I will be placing those that have registered in divisions according to their final 2011 rankings in both competitions. That means the REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE IS FAST APPROACHING! I haven't yet set that date but it will be some time in the coming weeks.

We have plenty of interest in both these games and numbers are growing. We still need more, so join up today - even if you've never played before.

I have set the cut-off registration date for Friday March 2, 5:00pm AEST

After that time I will allocate everyone into divisions and you will be contacted with the appropriate league code.

Please note: You can still register after this cut-off date but your ranking from 2011 will become irrelevant and you will be placed in the lowest league.

There has been plenty of interest in both competitions but I do not believe for a second that there aren't more Carlton supporters here on BigFooty that do not participate in DT, SC or even both! If you were in a BigFooty league last year (SC board, not Carlton), then they will probably have it on record if you look on that board.

Otherwise yes, follow the appropriate link and post your 2012 team name and I will slot you in somewhere.
