2012 draw any news or leaks?

its that time again guys where we wait eagerly for the draw for a months then disect it over summer any news or leaks other then Swans GWS as a stand alone game the week after the NAB cup

Saints/Dockers Round 1 pretty much confirmed.
Was originally going to be at Subiaco, but they're looking to change it to Melbourne due to the 'interest'.

Colingwood to have 2 interstate trips and 20 games at the MCG.

Essendon will play this years top 5 twice. Will also play Sydney in sydney, Adelaide in adelaide and Fremantle interstate as well. All but confirmed.

Yeah I also heard that Essendon might play Collingwood on ANZAC day. Not sure though.

Collingwood to travel interstate three times in round 2, 7 and round 17 against GWS, Port and Gold Coast. Will play the rest at the MCG after Eddie requested no games at Etihad.

With Mick walking out it has put Eddie behind a bit, but I heard he has contacted Vlad and let him know that he will get the Collingwood fixture done in the next couple of weeks so the AFL have something to work around.

Until Eddie draws up the Pies fixture the AFL have their hands tied for year 2012.

Wasn't 2008 the last time Brisbane played Hawthorn at the GABBA? I know we'd probably lose, but I'd like to see that happen next year. Good to keep the variety.

Would love to see West Coast against Collingwood at Patersons next year, as well. Would be a cracker. Hawthorn against Carlton at the MCG and Geelong against Carlton at the MCG would be sweet, too.

West Coast have requested 18 home games and to travel only 4 times. They apparantly have data from previous seasons and proof that this has occurred to other clubs before??

Sounds a reasonable request to me, maybe 18 is pushing it but 16 should not be an issue. lol

Is Rcihmond Carlton round 1 a sure thing for next year? wasn't there some talk of it being changed?

Heard a whisper a few weeks back that due to the construction of the new Doug Wade Stand, Geelong will only be playing 3 or 4 games in Geelong. Don't know how much truth there is in that though.

We always alternate between playing the Eagles and Dockers at Patersons each year,and we played the Dockers there this year.
Personally Id love to play them both over here so I can see my boys play twice.

Don't know where you heard it from but there is absolutely no truth in this whatsoever. We will be playing 7 games there, the AFL have all but confirmed this and there was an article in the Geelong Advertiser about a month back confirming this also (link is somewhere on the Geelong board in a thread about the redevelopment).

Can't speak for the dockers but you've only played us in perth 4 times over the last 12 years, and only once in the last 4. Don't like your chances buddy.
