This is exactly right, i wouldnt be surprised if the afl has told them to say this as everyone will be claiming they have over equiped these new teams. Also, if tippetts worth only pick 13 or so, what players that are tradable are actually worth the top picks? It's all a smokescreen to make up for them hoarding draft picks through the mini draft, which was supposed to get them these senior players. They may trade 1 of them...maybe.
I was joking about the pears for 13 trade btw, I'm only serious if it goes through.
thanks benTerry Wallace said:Taylor Walker is better than Kurt Tippett
as always, just puttin' it out there...
Pick upgrade would be handy
YuckCraig Vozzo of WCE says we're interested in Stevens along with St Kilda and Footscray. No front runner at this stage, but looking for a pick in the 30s. I daresay we're trying to find a compromise between 32 and 48.

Kobey for #32 sounds good to me.

God no. 48 maybe. Maybe.
WC want a pick in the #30s tho
Agreed, maybe we should get in his ear and get him to walk into the pre season draft. Really i'm no draft expert like 99% of us on here but looking at a few of the phantom drafts the midfielders in this draft seem to run deep why not try and draft one that very well could come good. Instead of someone who hasn't looked like he is AFL standard and wasn't really even backed in by his own coaches this year.God no. 48 maybe. Maybe.
we need koby to come out and nominate us. then we can grab him on the cheap

They can want what they like, what they get is a different matter though.
Wont #32 change once the FA compo picks are awarded.
May move 1 back because of the Goddard deal, which is kinda our own fault. Don't think any of the other movements due to FA are worth something higher than pick 32.
I had a bit of a search for @ant555's posts on Koby Stevens dating back to pre-2009 draft, because I haven't ever seen him.
Footnotes:
- One paced
- Big bodied, but not as reliable as Howlett, Hocking, Myers
- Average skilled
Doesn't sound amazing.
That's my take on it too. Koby is only 21, he may have some upside left, but I dont see why we need him at all.
