I'd go HMAC myself.

Mine is:

Broughton (D5), Sidebottom (F5), O Stephenson (R4) $45K left

Or

Broughton (D5), Porplyzia (F5), H McIntosh (R2) $10.6K left

Or

Lake (D5), Sidebottom (F5), H McIntosh (R2) $3K left

Tough one but i probaly go the last option.I think sidebottom will explode this year and can see lake and McIntosh doing well this year

If broughton is d5 n sidey is f5 something must be suffering? Option 1 I'm referring to.

Fwiw option 2 appears to be the best for overall balance without seeing the rest of your side

Yeah with that first option I'm running 5/3/1/5 as far as premiums go. No mid pricers in my team with that first option.

Yeah that makes sense. The most I can get is 13 with the top enders included but that's 4/4/1/4 which I'll more than likely going with. I just hate not setting n forgetting my rucks!

Ok fellas I am trying to pick a ruck and am on a tight budget. LOL!

The rest of the side is settled and looking good. I'm going with a 4/4/1/4 premium setup this season.

I'm trying to figure out who is the best bang for buck out of these guys -

McEvoy vs Jacobs vs Natanui vs Minson vs Kruezer vs Mcintosh.

I'm thinking McEvoy but Minson has been going great guns during the pre season.

Jacobs I think could average possibly the same as McEvoy as he is the lone ruckman for his team too.

Kruezer was impressive in his nab cup opener too.

Please help pick one. Ha! Ha!

Bang for buck tough to say but it would be hmac for me. He could be a keeper but at his price you could upgrade as well. The others are keeper priced iirc (posting from my phone :() Otherwise I like Jacobs n mcevoy in that order.

For consistent, high output, go McEvoy. Value for money to help upgrade elsewhere I'd go McIntosh. If you want to take a risk, go with Nicnat. I'd take McEvoy as first ruck though. You want someone to hold down that spot all year. Take risks on ruck2.

I'm currently toying with the better 3 defenders out of;

Scotland, Hanley and Lake or
Deledio, Shaw and M. Clarke (Had this combo for a long time but an underdone Lids and a barely-seen Clarke have left me unsure).

Wait if the option is for your r1 hmac wouldn't be my choice.

U said 4/4/1/4 then bang for buck! :p

:D

Maybe I should have said bang for buck up to the value of $548,800 (McEvoy) HeeHee.

So you think Sauce Jacobs then McEvoy in that order IDIG?

What is your reasoning mate? :)

From memory there's 50k difference which is huge but also because Jacobs feels like he'll be this years goldy/mummy. Looked great preseason n reckon he's ready to have that breakout year esp with their draw. Also a tap ruckman as an added bonus. Both solid choices and a case could be made for all the players u mentioned

Tossing up between a few.
Broughton vs Birchall
Scotland vs Deledio

I'd go Broughton and Scotland mate.

Broughton due to his midfield time that he gets and Scotland due to Lids limited pre season.

Lids will be a good upgrade at around round 7 I reckon. :thumbsu:

Ok I'll still stumped over McEvoy vs Jacobs. Why are images of Wil Minson dominating in the ruck constantly in my head? Could prove genius (reverse of Impromptu picking Kruezer last year) LOL! Or could get alot of egg on my face (Impromtu picking Kruezer in ruck put still $50,000 richer than me) :p

Forget about Minson. He has been going 110% all preseason whilst most other rucks have been going at around 65%. His history suggests that he isn't likely to give you consistently big scores.

Its a toss up between McEvoy and Jacobs. I currently have Jacobs as my R2 and im very happy with him there. I would take McEvoy if i could spare the extra 45k but i can't without compromising elsewhere. It is really a toss up between the 2 if you ask me. They are both the number 1 ruck with good potential for high scores with very little in the way of quality back up so they will be getting big minutes.

I have a feeling this year will see a continuance of the changing of the guard in relation to the rucks. I see Cox still being up there, but think one of McEvoy, Jacobs, Leuenberger or Mumford will end the season as the number 1 scoring ruck in the competition. Im hoping its Leuenberger.

Dangerfield or Sidebottom or both?

A few people have said Danger's numbers suggest he isn't a good supercoach player, but surely if he's in the mids this year he's a good pick.

As for Sidebottom will collingwood's injury concerns mean he's more likely to keep playing forward?

Which forward positions do you intend on playing them/ What does the rest of your forward line look like?

I'd imagine you're going to place them in F4 and F5 in which case I'd say you're probably better off picking between them and try utilising one of the spots for a premium forward. In that case I'd pick Sidebottom.

Which option should i go for?

Sandi + Kreuzer + $106,000 Def Rookie + B. Harvey + T. Walsh + $16,900

OR

Cox + Redden (starting) + M. Clarke + S. Johnson + Porplyzia + $46,000

The upgrades available after downgrading Kreuzer are appealing but is Redden (or say, Giles) capable enough to have starting?

I just can't split McEvoy and Jacobs to be honest.

May as well just toss a coin. :D:thumbsu:

Whichever one I pick will be the wrong one. LOL!

Clifton v Stevens?

Clifton would probably play more games, wouldn't he?

M. Murphy v Dal Santo?

Either, both will be consisent and season locks in the mid.
Personally i'm going for Murphy, cant argue with his consistency last season only going to be better this season as well.

Sidebottom VS Cloke

Yeah d4 and d5. Fwd line is Goodes, Fyfe, Martin, Sidebottom, Dangerfield, Hall, Smith. Yeah I know I don't have buddy, but I don't like his record against early opponents.

I have a ruck conundrum:

Mummy and Hmac ; Mummy and Hale; Mummy and Maric; Mummy and Kreuzer?

VS. Sandi and Hmac; Sandi and Maric; Sandi and Kreuzer?

Who will be more consistent with scoring and which pair has the mroe upside?

Thanks!!
