Re: Player X v Player Y

Irony will be me winning the $200 at worst 1 in 16 odds.

McCarthy v Golby?

Re: Player X v Player Y

McCarthy will probably score more, but who you pick also depends on who you'll put in Golby's place in defence? There's probably a closer gap between McCarthy and a midfield rookie than there would be between Golby and a defence rookie...you follow?

Trying to be smart quoting irony and getting the at worst odds wrong by not knowing there are 18 teams this year, Hope your selections are better than you knowledge of the rules.

In an on thread comment I would take McCarthy, Has shown a lot in the preseason and at a good price

Re: Player X v Player Y

This has been killing me for ages...

Waters & Porplyzia

OR

Lake and Ballantyne

I already have hargrave in my team.

Many thanks!

Re: Player X v Player Y

McDonald vs Kennedy

I've got both. But I'd probably go Kennedy, just. I question the TOG McDonald will get, and Kennedy's a FWD as well as a MID.

Dangerfield vs. Porplyzia (given how much they cost).

Cox vs. McEvoy is giving me a headache, given rumours I've heard of Cox spending more time up forward and NicNat getting more time as the ruckman.

Re: Player X v Player Y

Where have these rumours come from? Any source behind them

He will play the exact same role as last year which was a fair bit forward and also a fair bit in the ruck.

Fair enough. I guess I'm just annoyed that he has a R11 bye.

My choice at the moment:

Cox + Franklin + Porplyzia vs. McEvoy + Robinson + Dangerfield.

Option one is screaming at me, but for some reason I'm not convinced

For some reason i think with the injuries to key forwards that Cox might need to spend more time up forward as opposed to in the Ruck. He is certainly a better forward than NicNat, so i think he might suffer from less time in the ruck. Just a niggling presumption that i am feeling.

edit: my assumption has nothing to do with Cox's role in the NAB GF.

Kennedy and Lynch could still be right fro round 1 and if not will be fine for round 2. When picking a premium player like Cox you are picking them for 22 rounds not 1 :eek::eek:

Re: Player X v Player Y

I'm going for the overall, who do you guys think will average more out of

Selwood + Porps + pfeiffer
v
Sidebum + Mccarthy + coniglio

Hmmm...

I'd go Sidebottom, McCarthy and a different GWS rookie for 120K max, then spend the 50K elsewhere. I don't think Coniglio is worth it, tbh.

do you think it would be a better idea to change coniglio to Pfeiffer, then maybe upgrade heppel to shaw in the backs?
