Injury 2013 Injuries

Just hope we dont have another Higgins on our hands. Wasnt the reason he was an unknown in the draft because he was injured and didnt get to play much TAC cup.

I'm pretty sure it's because he was playing School footy and not TAC footy - you don't get made captain of your school team if you're playing too much TAC.

I hope they keep Stringer on ice until he's definitely 100%. Doesn't sound likely that Boyd will be back and Jones is still only "test". Also the article suggests Wood is not ready for AFL yet (and has a broken nose as well!). No mention of Picken's hammy so maybe it was just a precautionary ice pack?

No mention of Hrovat in that list either. He's been out for two weeks with a quad strain apparently.

For all the good work done by the PR/comms people at Whitten Oval in the last 12 months, the medical report is a recurring failure. They really can't get it together can they?

In more disturbing news..

Stringer had X-Rays and a CT scan in his foot.......

No MRI?

I've had a few foot injuries and they don't always turn up in the previous two.

I watched the media report and the medical guy seemed to brush off Stringer's injury saying that CT scan showed no fracture.. and his foot already feels better.. and he will be monitored during the week.. so unless he is spinning the story .. sounds like he will be ok.

Prudden listed as ....... 1 week... again.... what a surprise

Boyd a test, Stringer still TBC (doesn't strike me with hope that one) and the rest as we all know are out for the season. Seriously what the **** getting beyond a joke with Prudden now, sucks pretty bad for the kid though, starts the season in fine form surprising everyone then about a month or so in he mysteriously disappears from the team one day and it takes us all like 3 weeks to even find out what happened and then he probably doesn't play for the rest of the year.

Wouldn't worry about Stringer. Always going to give him a few weeks off from any leg injuries, due to his history. Wouldn't be surprised if he's rested for the rest of the year. They've said there was no fracture, so hopefully it's all good.

BMac is just resting the kids. Our game style is to much for young undeveloped bodies week in and week out. They will get more game time after a second pre-season.

Getting really pissed off with the beating around the bush regarding Prudden's ankle. The website still says 1 week. He's not named for Williamstown. Wish the club would just ****ing level with us.

Nick gone for the rest of the year :(
Nick got a knock during the game down at North Ballarat on the weekend and he’s had an x-ray today which has confirmed just a small fracture of his cheekbone,” McKenzie said.
“Unfortunately that will put him out for the remainder of the year.”

But some good news regarding Clay “He is allowed to come off crutches and start his rehab, so he is in a good place.” :thumbsu:
