Quick question, assuming the Round 12 home game v Hawthorn game at Etihad is a sellout, which it will be, how do they allocate tickets to 40 thousand Carlton Members???

I have no doubt that this will be a fully ticketed match numb3rs and as Thy mentioned, presale.

Luckily I have a Captain's Club reserved seat Membership

We have Geelong (away game) and Hawks at Etihad and we have home games against Adelaide & Melbourne at the MCG.

I can not understand the AFL's thinking at times in regards to the fixture and maximising attendances, especially for Clubs with larger supporter bases.

This is precisely why the 50,000 number is so important. It forces the AFL to rethink their fixturing concerning us and will mean more home games at the MCG.

I thought Etihad had some form of guarantee to get a select number of 'blockbuster' matches per year. Hence we get the short straw as a big drawing club having to play big matches their still.

I believe that is correct. Unfortunate for us, but at the end of the day the AFL has to honor its contractual agreements with Etihad Stadium.

Followed since the mid 60,s. Originally 6 hours from Melbourne now 2 hours from Adelaide. Today I became a member for the very first time. Cannot get to games but I feel great that I am now a member.
Rock on, Mad Max. :thumbsu:

2 hours from Adelaide, gotta be Keith, has the best pie shop in the universe. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

SA rocks for bakeries and pies. .. Only thing lacking in Vic. .. Doing a road trip to SA tomorrow, might have to stop in. ..
