So we have some 800,000 fans around Australia & the 2nd or 3rd highest attendances for games yet struggle to get 50,000 fans... What gives?

Then, when you think about it, Essendon supporters' pets probably talk more sense than Essendon supporters do.
That is laughable but actually smart marketing. Money for nothing. Our membership team is so average, they need to start thinking outside the box like this. I know the die-hards will always buy a membership, but we need to hook some newbies in - and fast. If we ever wanna move to The 'G, we've gotta pickup the pace. Very disappointing to be at 36k considering we started early and have MM on-board. Maybe the team should limit the Lygon st appearances and get out in the suburbs more and really push for some sign-ups?This is why Essendon's ahead of us

A bit unfair for the club to put it onto the players to take responsibility for memberships and I dislike seeing players begging us to sign up.
I know that's not what you're saying BlueTongue, but sometimes the expectations may be there.
The CFC have done a lot of things wrong when the money of a suit was more important than the everyday supporter.
We have to come from behind now and it's clearly going to be hard work getting to the next levels, but at least we've recognized our failings and are trying to do something about it.
It's just not going to be easy as we have to once again become an inclusive club, which we haven't been for some years now.

Does anyone know if AFL members with club support receive a membership pack from the club. I have my card but no pack yet this year. Not a big deal really but not sure how long it should take if it is coming.

I expect with the weekends win there will be another small spike in Membership uptake like there was last week. I think if anything can be taken away from the NAB Cup is that whilst it isn't the best gauge of form, establishing a winning culture early is promising and tends to reflect well in the pre-season membership numbers. Whether we like it or not Carlton has some pretty fickle fans that demand success and at the very least winning 3 from 3 preseason games is a 100% improvement on last years pre-seaosn results.
