whats the deal with liam anthony.. is DT stats were crazy good a couple of years ago

Gun accumulator in his first season, who had good balance between his inside and outside game. Then done his shoulder and lost his strength, now freaks when there is any type of pressure, often selling teammates into trouble or bombing the footy blindly.

Can still find the footy, averaged over 27 touches a game for nth ballarat but just torches it way too often when under a hint of pressure. Not a bad disposer when in space however....

Miles to st kilda and Sipposs to Gws would be a win win for both clubs. St kilda get a young mid and Gws get a young player who doesn't turn it over every time he gets it.

Siposs signed a contract extension last year or something and is St Kilda through and through.

Barracked for them as a youngun.

would have thought miles is hankering at a delisting, sipposs is probably worth a 3rd rounder or earlier. whack deal for the saints, that one is

He might be a bit short for the Saints. We already have a few sub 180cm players so I doubt we are looking for more unless they are a star or super cheap.

Siposs was shocking this year! Not worth that at the moment

you still take him over miles any day of the week IMO.

Tom Bellchambers has signed a 2 year deal, off the table

Good work by the Bombers to sign up Bellchambers.

IMO, he is the #1 man at Windy Hill, despite him being "out of favour" at times during the year.

He was a must keep and they did well to retain him.

I agree.

Will you be changing your UserName soon?
Or changing clubs? ;) I cannot imagine a Pies fan switching to Carlton!

Been thinking about this today and it all makes sense.

David Myers to Collingwood
Heath Shaw to Sydney
2nd round draft pick from Sydney to Essendon.

Heath Shaw might be on the outer and rumours are rife he is headed to Swans to play with his brother in Sydney.

Collingwood would then be on the look out for a replacement, David Myers may be looking to continue his AFL career elsewhere. Collingwood the obvious choice.

Essendon currently have 0 trades for Rounds 1 & 2 in this years drafts. By trading this way with Pies & Swans it means Myers continues his career in the AFL and we get a 2nd round draft pick (From Swans).

What are peoples thoughts on this possible trade?

I doubt Myers is worth a 2nd rounder, I think the bombers would need to add something to get the trade over the line.

Why Collingwood the obvious choice ??????
Would have thought if Myers left Essendon it would be to head home to WA.

Well only other player who maybe traded is Jetta. Trading Jetta to swans also is making this trade far too good for Swans and very poor to us. We only have a couple of players we could trade to try to get back in to the 2nd round at least. Surely we'd want to keep Crameri. Thus he increased contract offer from us.

Interesting - in your honest opinion what's Myers's disposal skills like? I don't expect him to be a Didak but don't want a chump either

So in other words we are taking it from behind! Myers is a first 22 player in our side...why in the blue moon are we giving him up just to get a 2nd rounder. I love the draft but this year especially unless that pick is in the top 20 it is useless- the draft falls away. Myers is a perfect utility for our side, and is NO CHANCE of being traded!

I think TheJet was just looking for a way into the draft. Given you don't think Myers should be traded who do you realistically think could be released for a 2nd or 1st rounder? And Jetta wouldn't be realistic.

Myers is good, over his injury worries & has no disciplinary problems
Umm, Heath Shaw will easily net us a first round pick, that's not just my opinion, it's most of the AFL commentators.
Also, Dawes & Sharrod got us a first rounder, you can bet your bottom that Shaw will get a higher pick then both of them.
