Any South Fremantle supporters/watchers on here?

Wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on Sean Tighe?

His numbers are outstanding and someone that Knightmare has been big on for a couple of years ago now.

Just wondering a couple of things. He wins big numbers, does he get that easy kick across the back line? what is his disposal like? pace? second efforts in and around the stoppages? putting some big hitout numbers, much to advantage?

Thanks in advance

Tighe has been outstanding in an otherwise bleak year for the Bulldogs. Easily leading our fairest and best. Made the state squad against Vic, but not sure if he played.

His ruck work has been excellent but it's his work around the ground that has really impressed. Would be a big chance for the Sandover. He was recruited to South as a CHF but due to a lack of big men found himself rucking and hasn't looked back.

His body type isn't really suited to AFL.

Why do you say that? I havent seen him for a number of years but he was always that lanky backmen type in the Jackson Trengove (Port Adelaide) mould.

Who played at Claremont Oval on Saturday around 9:35? I figure it was a colts game between GSFL vs UGSFL colts?

The reason i ask is a few impressed me. From those in Claremont jumpers.

#24 tall who played forward and back, good size to him, showed great movement with speed and agility, didn't mark the ball like a KP, kicked well. (named Mitch?) Reminded me of the Marsh brothers.

#5 small midfielder, strong over the ball, dual sided, nice decision maker, ran to the right spots and got a mountain of the pill.

#16 half forward, nice skills, strong mark for size, found ball at will, kicked plenty of goals.

#8 midfielder, medium build but long of limb, good skills and ball winning ability.

UGS don't send a colts team to Landmark and GSFL don't wear a Claremont strip either (well at least not last year) so it doesn't sound like them. Not sure who it would be then given that the colts finals on Saturday were fixtured to be down in Mandurah and the seniors were at Medibank. Maybe the fixtures got changed or something.

Interesting to see that Brendon Abbott is in the teams list, what happened to him this year? It was only a few weeks back that he was playing in the championships?

Program can be downloaded from here: http://www.wafl.com.au/football-budget. Plenty of recogniseable names in there.

Thoughts on Ben Daniher? Thought he was a seriously good player last year for Claremont's colts. Broken into the league side now and was wondering if any of you guys would consider him.

I know there was some connection to the GSFL because the runners advertising was for some place in Albany and a kid on the bench had a North Albany shirt on.

He's playing one week for Claremont, one week for Royals I think. A few transfers either way in the last month. It's a fairly easy trip so a few people do that.

I reckon teams could do worse than to reconsider Ryan Davis as a forward. He has been fantastic for Swans this year. Reliable goal kicker, can take a solid grab, is very aggressive and can play though the middle or high half forward.

anyone prepared to give a bit of a Dayle Garlett run down on his year? obviously the big talking point across all the boards and someone Essendon were very keen on last year. Some are still keen but the big talking point is whether he can become a midfield rotation or would he be purely a forward/half forward?

Can he still play as a half forward? Doesn't seem to leave the goal square...

The season is at an end.......would you change your opinion ? For what its worth I think you've been proven 90% correct.

Because east freo are shit.
Cripps was outstanding though, will be a good AFL player.
Ef had 56 percent more of the footy (368 to 235) on Saturday and still lost........why ? Because their decision making and disposal skills are poor......with Cripps and Green being the main offenders......lots of work required by whoever drafts him !

Their outside players are mostly rubbish.

Cuneo, Bourne, Rayner, Marsh all missed easy goals that would have won the game for East Fremantle.

Cripps disposal at stoppages was pretty bloody good especially when you consider the weather the game was played in. His kicking however wasn't that flash hot and probably won't ever be one of his strengths as he just doesn't get any shape on the ball. Cripps has the size and athleticism to make his game translate at the highest level, it will take time for him to do this though.

I'm a massive fan of Jansen. He's less of an inside desperado than Cripps but he's makes good decisions and hits targets on the spread and his lower centre of gravity and weight make him hard to push off the ball.

In the end Claremont's defensive discipline, class and spread of the workload won them the game. They where denied the ball by Cripps and Green but took their chances with ball in hand.

Is Green a chance of winning the Jack Clarke Medal this Wednesday, with an average of 30 disposals a game for the season?

Claremont v Souths will be a good game next week. Barrass, Powell to return? Claremont will still be missing McCracken, Law?

Perth monstered Subiaco last time they played but they where missing Woods, McAlister, Kennedy, Jackson and Clark.
Both games are 50/50 pretty evenly matched teams, Subiaco are dangerous with those additions against the Demons

Subiaco were not overly flash on the weekend. EP did a good job on Wood and they missed McAlister. I dont think EP could of covered a second decent forward. Their kicking did let them down although conditions were not great.

Thier midfield got absolutely slaugtered by Shanahan and Riley with Shanahan winning 16 clearances.

Kennedy looked second rate and needs to toughen up. I would give Christopher Bryan a bit more time in the midfield.....he is very under rated.

Will put my money on Perth.....unsure about South Freo and Claremont....should be a cracker.
