Demons' Luke Tapscott just got delisted - thought he was pretty good when he first started playing for Melbourne. Any interest from us you think? Good built.

Or perhaps the mail posted about Grimley being delisted is wrong and he was always going to be at the Hawks in 2015.
There is still time, DF. Don't lose hope.

The Hawks actually need to bank a few delistings for future years as well. They struggled to get three this year and probably moved a few players they didn't want/have to.
I cannot understand the logic behind a club banking delistings for future years. Clubs plan for future years regarding age composition of the list, but planning future delistings. I wouldn't think so.

My logic is that the Hawks lost at least one, maybe three players this year because there were no obvious delisting. I agree it is loose logic, but looking at the list, if you had to drop 3 tomorrow, who would they be? The Hawks are hoping for a few retirements next year but it is not guaranteed.

Can you see any of our senior players retiring next year? I think Lake is the obvious one who is certain to retire at the end of 2015. Players like Burgoyne, Mitchell, Hodge, Gibson and Hale might have another 2 years left in them perhaps. If we were to win next years Premiership though, I wouldn't be suprised if a couple of them retire.

Id go with Hale and Lake.

Think Hale has quite a few years left in the tank. Will not retire end of 2015.

Fagan said as much in his review.

Lake will retire end of 2015. Not 100% sure about anyone else. Injuries will effectively determine, and the progression of youth (see Langford replacing Sewell).

Now that Grimley is probably staying at Hawthorn and has found out that no other club wants him it will be interesting to see how he responds.

Congratulations to Willsmore and Webster on being promoted to the senior list. The last player to be promoted did quite well.

If Lake can have another big September (+ early October) and be influential in helping us win another flag then I'd be fully on board with offering him yet another year. Even if it was one of those 12 game contracts. Regardless of any injuries or brain fades during the home and away.

The last 4 players to be upgraded from the rookie list are Langford, Ceglar, Breust & Suckling.

One could argue that the Hawks seem to have a good idea how well rookies are going.

IF we get a third flag he is likely one of our best trade recruits for a long long time

Hale, Lake, Burgoyne.

Hale an absolute lock.
Totally right IMO Hale is fast approaching his use by date and I am pretty sure that the game will get too fast and way beyond him in 2015, with stints back at BHH whilst Grimley or Dermie, err sorry O`Brien gradually overtake him.....anyways since when do we have bald players...[watch out Lewie]
