They believe we might be moving on hunt and varcoe as well as west, but for what? What are the names pit up that we are trying to move them on for? If it's a young gun like Taylor Adams then I can accept it at the end of the day, but if it's for draft picks out of the first round, I would rather keep varcoe and hunt

I find it amazing that people bring up this incident but conveniently seem to have short memories when say Jimmy Bartel handballs to someone under pressure in the first 1/4 that results in a goal. He did this against Collingwood and in the recent Hawthorn game. Both games were lost by less than a goal. Now I am not going to suggest that Jimmy is responsible for those losses, but somehow it's Varcoes' fault that we lost against the Hawks. FFS some perspective people. It was a team effort.
I tend to think the opposite, over the span of his career he has often been a big game player, how many games in the past when we were fighting for a win in last quarters did varcoe get heavily involved with run and carry to lift us up another level? When varcoe gets his jets on in games, we often look a much better team, his value has been immense at times. But because he doesn't finish the games with 35 touches or 6 goals, people don't appreciate it

People have short memories with Varcoe. We aren't going to get fair value if we trade him so keep him. He's worth much more to us.

Not fussed on T.Hunt or West. We'd get fair value for both but let's be honest they aren't worth more than a late 2nd rounder at best which is neither here nor there

Sam Reid would be a dream but the Dawks and Pies will be all over him. Before injury this year he was the best up and coming KPP in the comp. Id rather Reid than Tippet and almost more than Buddy if you offered them up right now. Surely Reid, Tippet and Buddy can't all work in the same forward line. They aren't just key forwards they're all basically ruckman size.

If I was the Pies I'd be giving away the pick they get for Daisy (11) and Heath Shaw to get it done.

Almost like they've been reading BF...

Hello is anybody out there..

The appears there are a lot of players on that table atm but traditionally your would have to say this is aggressive for Geelong. Personally Id love to see us get early picks but this aggressive action probably means we are serious in our pursuit of the names mentioned. Adams , Selwood and Shaw

OK as it looks Hunt, Varcoe and Hunt are at least tabled Who are they going to appeal to.
Well if GWS are serious about middle aged experience to help out , here are 2 Premiership players and very handy younger grow that will grow with your group. All of them would suit their need imo. There young mids are grunty type Varcoe and Hunt would add seasoned run and West would be a good ruck option for them.

Bar West the other two probably would appeal to WC. Would Varcoe and Hunt get close to Scott Selwood?

I would love to get Taylor Hunt to Collingwood. Can you confirm that he is on the market and what would be a fair price?
Swap for Shaw & a pick perhaps?

You are frigging kidding!! I will bark up my breakfast if we pick up Shaw.

Thanks for adding to the discussion rabbi but what would you expect in return so we don't see what you had for breakfast.

Adams, SSelwood & Shaw have been linked to us. But if we move on that many , does it bring Longer into calculations. Does it mean they want the 3 Rookies?

Does us putting up these guys mean that they will keep they guys we thought were gone? Like JC and Chappy

Well if all this is true , we are not sitting on our hands.

I didn't say Varcoe lost us the game. I just said he kicked a point. Which he did. 'Twas a joke. Admittedly, not a very good one.

It's only a rumor at this stage but yeah I reckon that would be fair, not sure if Pies would play hard ball or not..
Personally I don't see how it's possible as I really rate him but he may have fallen out of favour with the coach?

I personally would not part with him. He was a very good tagger who was hurting teams both ways until he broke his clavicle. When he came back he never recovered the form. Pretty much the same for Varcoe. I would expect that they will both be back on deck next year.

Yep, if I was a Geelong supporter I would not be happy losing both of them either. So may well be a baseless rumour.

Didn't think he did,I actually thought Hunt would be safe, but if these rumors are true then he obviously fell out or asked to be traded.

The thing is, he went out with that shoulder injury and I feel he got rushed back into the side and never really got back to his earlier season form which was quite promising.
