Thanks, spots on I really hope we can draft Simpson again when he mature. Some kid need time before going to AFL .when you mention you watched colt side that can kick both side Simpson came into mind.I guess the biggest problem is you can't replace players like Pav & Sandi as they are giants of the game. Sandi literally & Pav by deeds. Those kind of guys are future hall of famers.
Johnson is the next hardest as he's so unique in his skills & size.
Also Sandi & Jonno took a long time to reach the lofty levels they play at now, remember when Jonno was pilloried for being soft & his disposal was erratic? Sandi took a long time too.
Other than them we are pretty well placed.
The 2008 crop have plenty of years left & we've done ok the last couple of years. There were a few pretty ordinary years at the draft but the likes of Sutcliffe & Neale & A Pearce make up for the bad luck of Pitt & Simpson.
I'm still not certain Sheridan & Crozier will be anything special but I'm sold on Blakely, Weller as probable A graders.
Hughes & Grey can play, Ueber & Collins could be the best tall prospects we've had for a while, Hurley may surprise.
Tucker looks to be competent & I have high hopes for Balic.
Time will tell as ever but I can't see us dropping away completely to be uncompetitive with the young talent in the shed.

You may see a few guys doing some running or something but generally tuesday and thursdays are spent in the gymJust wondering if there's any training on this morning? Gonna be in the area and thought I would pop in
Ok cool thanks heaps guys, will probably still pop in anyway and have a squizzy.
I am retired and I live in Carlisle There are several other retired that go to training that aren't on BF and come from the Spearwood area.Do the people that go to training generally just live or work in the area or do some actually make a specific trip across to have a look?
I've wanted to go for years but I live in Ellenbrook and I didn't trust my car to get there and back. Their training happens around peak hour as well and it would take me 2 1/2 to 3 hours to get there in the morning.I am retired and I live in Carlisle There are several other retired that go to training that aren't on BF and come from the Spearwood area.
I've made a specific trip a few times. I live north of the river. Grab a coffee. Watch the training. Wander over to Freo for lunch. It's a pleasant way to spend a morning.Do the people that go to training generally just live or work in the area or do some actually make a specific trip across to have a look?
It usually takes me 30 - 40 minutes each way, so don't get there as often as I'd like.Do the people that go to training generally just live or work in the area or do some actually make a specific trip across to have a look?
The players start training at 9.00 so if you are super keen you could drive to Midland, Guildford or Bassendean and catch a train through to Fremantle and then walk to the Oval. Or one of us could pick you up from the station and drive you to the oval which isnt that far. You would cut at least an hour if not more on your trip.I've wanted to go for years but I live in Ellenbrook and I didn't trust my car to get there and back. All i can say is thank you guys for the great reports.

Haha I never even thought to use public transport. If Ellenbrooks ever gets our promised train line it would make it really convenient. The players start training at 9.00 so if you are super keen you could drive to Midland, Guildford or Bassendean and catch a train through to Fremantle and then walk to the Oval. Kram81 I forgot to say in my earlier post that one of the Old Dudes who looks like a Young Dude comes all the way from Mandurah and is on BF.
I know right! I mean... I came all the way from Melbourne! I do make special trips out to training when I'm in Perth cos I stay at my parents NoR. Traffic's not too bad once you get out of the city.Lol all the way from Mandurah......Mandurah ain't that far!!!! Especially once were at Cockburn-just 4-5 train stations away.
