Is it possible that Hopper and Kennedy from the GWS academy are bid on so early that GWS won't have enough later picks to match a bid for Himmelberg? Wouldn't mind the Hawks bidding on him with our 2nd pick.

you can go into debut for next years draft, so if they want him they can bid on him.

I expect us to pick a player who is "a bit of a reach" and unfortunately we won't win the annual draft day "which team won the draft" competition. :(
It's obviously going to be Collingwood, the reigning back-to-back-to-back draft day premiers.

Seeing Freeman's trouble and also Scharenberg now doing his ACL, I wouldn't say Pies have won that draft now.

Poor Matty. Never like seeing a young player get hurt. Well never like seeing any player getting injured

Seems to be many are keen on Collins. If we decide on a KPP with one of our 1st two picks, I would prefer Ben Mckay. To me he has more upside and is more versatile.

Late developer with big upside. Much more mobile. If we are going to take a tall Ben or his brother will probably be the best available. I'm not sold on collins either.

on the radio this morning his coach was talking about him being the one that has developed the most this year and still has a lot more development in him. he even mentioned he could see him developing into a forward...that could be interesting...

Completely disagree with the mobile comment Ben McKay tested one of the slowest in the 20 m Sprint and agility does not carry the athletic ability of his brother

2 short people again..no talls.. not sure what he is thinking again. Surely with our 3rd we would take Lovell in that scenario if we wanted a small. He didn't even bother to include rookie upgrades.

Albeit, if Wright actually does make these selections I will still think he's a genius and smarter than all of us! :)

2 short people ? I've got 1 midget! 186 is a perfect size for a mid, probably on the larger scale than anything. Hibberd I don't think will go at 18, that's a tad early. I think Collins if available will be taken then a toss up of Hibberd/Mathieson and Balic.

In the first round you go best available regardless of position, Brown and Silvagni are the best available at your picks.

I think this guy is high, saying we will take Mitch Brown at 15 and Silvagni at 18

and Dunny82 also agrees with him about mitch brown who is a hawks supporter. lol

Brett Anderson updated his phantom draft this afternoon and now has us taking Hibberd then Matheson.

Twomey's late mail draft update today mentioned that we have a growing interest in Ryan Burton should he still be available.

Happy with a Hibberd / Burton combo but I rate Hibberd as one of the kids to show the most potential to be elite in this draft and am hoping like hell we take him with our first as I think he's a steal past pick 12 and know the Gold Coast are also keen on him with their second pick (in between our two).

For the Kieran Collins fans out there I really do think the Blues will take him with their third pick (11) after they missed on Tomlinson in trade week. Very smart recruiting tomorrow night could net them almost all of Weitering, Harry McKay, Kieran Collins, Ryan Burton and Jack Silvagne. There's their future right there!

Still Hibberd, Bonner, Glass-McCasker for me. Hibberd is the must!

Hibberd, Mathieson and Cole or Partington/O'Kearney/Adams for me

Ryan Gardiner another kpd Tassie boy I'd look at with our third. Would be great for Tassie and our affiliation with them if we could have another two local kids on our list (inc Hibberd).

Ok, so I've changed my mind several times (like many of us), but my final hopes for tomorrow night are:

15: Hibberd
18: Cole
48: Jordan Dawson

Let's see how close we all are...

Seems like we are certainties to select hibberd if he is on the board.

However I'veI've noticed wright and co don't normally leak quite like other clubs. I don't remember Howe being touted for us or even hartung.
