It never feels good losing but the prospect of these young stars makes losing a bit more palatable.

Weitering is a MUST.
I would be happy with any three of Curnow, Collins, McKay, Gresham, Oliver, Francis and Mathieson if available (might be missing a few others).

Funny how Oliver is basically top few players now.
I just hope that whoever between Parish, Oliver, Curnow, Weideman, Francis or Milera is available at 8, we take them over McKay.

I think this draft will make or break on that pick #11
If pick #11 isn't a gun then our trade of #21 and #22 for it will be for naught.
If we land someone like Collins or Tucker at #11 then its a huge waste, as you could have got two players from the Clarke/Bonner/Tucker/Balic/Gresham/Mathieson/Ah Chee/B. McKay etc etc group. Which would be of more value to us in the long run.
As I keep saying - there are 8 players in this draft that I really rate. Then a bit of a cliff. We're guarenteed to nab two of them with picks #1 and #8 but hopefully, fingers crossed, a couple of bolters mean we can hit 3 of those top 8.
If we go with one of McKay/Hibberd/Burton it wont be tooooo bad - but if we do something silly and take Collins et al, it could make that trade look very silly in hindsight.

Interesting Twomey has Ah Chee (bless you) going at pick #7 whilst Knightmare has him going at pick #15. Curnow to fall to us at 14 according to Twomey, but pick #7 with Knightmare.

I chose Collins and Gresham mostly because of their body sizes and that Collins works well with Weitering.

Will we have the picks to be excited this time next year? We'll need more than one high pick but, there's not exactly anywhere for that to come from.
I think you need to read Twomey's phantom draft (combined with the less informed Landsberger draft). That is where the sh*t is happening
What the Ah Chee picks and stuff ? Yeah hopefully it goes that way

If any of those players are available at 8, we won't be selecting McKay at 8.
Except, perhaps, if we think Adelaide won't take Curnow at #9, but will take McKay
Knightmare is just a bigfooty poster who watches a lot of U18 football, Twomey and Landsberg are AFL journalists with links to the football clubs for inside info. I'd be paying a lot more attention to their phantoms as they would be hearing whispers about what actually would be going on.
My ideal draft
1. Weitering
8. Weideman/McKay (McKay most likely)
11. Curnow/Burton
It's likely given the chance Crows would take McKay with their first pick if available that is why we must select Weideman/McKay first. As then it would be between Curnow/Burton + anyone else to Crows 1st. Surely if given the option between similar types in Curnow & Burton they would choose the local lad.
So with 6 players in that list and picks 1,2 already known you're basically saying we won't be taking McKay at 8.
Wouldn't surprise me if we take McKay at 8 and Tucker at 11
Wouldn't be to disappointed with Rioli at 19
