Remy Maclean (Eastern Ranges)
... The athletic 195cm key forward also impressed for the Young Guns with four goals in their win over Vic Country. On Box Hill’s VFL list, he shapes as a potential candidate for the Hawks and also met with Carlton in the lead-up.

Top? The APS schools might dispute that.

The APS schools they beat on the way to their GF win in the shield last year?

Both their top age team (11&12) and intermediate team (9&10) won the states top school comp last year.

Also were runners up in 2022.

That makes them a pretty food football school

Also not a medico, but I think a full tear would potentially hurt less. The ACL itself doesn't hurt that much. It's the bone bruising that will get ya initially (unfortunately, can confirm).

Partial tear would get aggravated more methinks.
Considering he had surgery, I'd say they completely re-attatched it anyway.

Yeah, was just specifically responding to the point that he went back out onto the field. I think a full tear might actually initially hurt less than a partial.

Although having said that, I'm guessing a full tear is more likely to see the player fail the Lachman Test (preliminary movement check to diagnose possible ACL tear).

Okay punters, by the end of the day we'll be welcoming another player to the navy blue.
Looks like the names we've been linked with in the media are:

  • Riley Collier-Dawkins (Williamstown VFL) - 193cm inside/outside mid
  • Liam McMahon (Carlton VFL) - 198cm forward/defender
  • Corey Ellison (Williamstown VFL) - 194cm forward/defender
  • Jack Peris (Essendon VFL) - 178cm small forward
  • Remy Maclean (Box Hill VFL) - 200cm forward

Closest to the pin. Who would you like us to select (even a name not on the list) - and who you think we'll select.

I'll open the batting.
Who I'd like us to select: Saad El-Hawli - outside mid, speed to burn, goalkicker.
Who I think we'll take: Riley Collier-Dawkins.

Who I want: Albert Proud

Who we’ll get: shrugs

My preference based on profile reads and no expertise. is for a medium forward as I am not convinced by Moir and Lemmey is not showing signs

1. Mclachlan - he will be gone
2. Hutchinson
3. Weckert
4. Mcmahon

I assume the first 3 have more upside than Mchmahon. Mcmahon is more a Key position. My sense when Agresta said long term, we will pick a Hutchinson or Weckert type
