I don't think that being a supporter of a different club is worth more than the emotional family connection that Schache has with our club through his dad. Don't know if you've seen the recent interview josh did talking about his Dad and his connection with the lions, but he was almost in tears. When he says he wants to finish off what his dad started, i don't think he's saying it just for the sake of telling a good story for afl.com.au.

Also, worth noting Oliver and Schache are best friends. So Oliver might even request a trade to Brisbane after two years for all we know instead of Schache leaving. There's just really no point in worrying over it to the point where you hope we don't draft the best forward in this year's crop. Drafting Aish was a silly and risky decision, drafting Schache would almost be like drafting a local academy boy, not much of a risk at all.

I'm pretty sure Schache has actually said he wants to play for you, there's probably a greater chance Schache stays out of the 2 of them.

More likely a Rookie selection imo. Needs a lot of work on his fitness to be up to speed but does have talent.

Big difference between a new draftee saying they want to play for the club who has just drafted them and a prospective draftee saying they'd like to be drafted by a specific club.

I'll give you $1000 if you can find me a quote from Aish before the draft saying he wanted to go to Brisbane.
