You're having a laugh if you think you'll get Reid for a potential delistee in Minson and a nothing pick in a shallow draft.

When he has played the past 2 years he's been injured every time. Last time he was fit he kicked 28 goals from 16 games from playing a combination of forward and ruck.

To be fair to Geelong, if someone is over 185 cms and healthy we are into them for a ruck position.

Since Otto we have been devoid of a #1 ruck. And that was 2011.

Some serious overrating of Yarran going on over here. He's a lazy and undisciplined half back flanker who maybe has a sprint once or twice every game. Has decayed since his first few years signifanctly and would be lucky to be worth more than a 2nd rounder, maybe around pick 30.

Or he is a game breaking midfielder/forward that has been played out of position in a rubbish team that has played an outdated brand of football for 3 years. It would not surprise me if West Coast, Fremantle or Hawthorn through their first rounder towards Carlton. The guy just wants out of Carlton and is a jet!

Are you referring to Rich or Yarran?

The same things were said about Garlett, Betts, Robinson and Jacobs who were no good in the eyes of non-Carlton people.

Yarran's 2014 was terrific before he played in this year's backline that was under the pump every week. No worse than McEvoy, Vince or the like who weren't traded for pick 30. We're not talking about Stanley. We got that sort of pick for Hampson.

You're just worried about your club screwing the pooch again because they can't keep players and are years away from being competitive. You have to overpay and sign Queenslanders to have senior players. Lions could have had De Goey, Crisp and pick 25 on your books. That's what you'd give up for a Judd, Dangerfield, Ablett, etc.

Dreaming, not worth it when he's a Free Agent next year.

Then we'll be well compensated for a player who isn't over the hill.
No guarantee that Yarran won't lift under the next coach and stick around if we're offered unders. Walker was nearly headed to SA before he kicked 56 goals and had his best season.
